Subject: Applying for special permission to seat for exam

Dear Madam,

With due respect we, some students of your department (3rd batch, 4th year 8th semester), beg to state that we did not do well in our 6th semester final exam (Course no.: Eng 304, Eng 305 and Eng 306) held in 2012. As our results of that semester has been published very recently, and there is no batch continuing 6th semester now, there is no opportunity for us now to give improvement exams with other batches within the finishing time of our graduation. Therefore, it has been obligatory for us to seek for your special permission to seat for the exams of those respective courses.
