- Establish expectations for Business Department.

- Understand what an entrepreneur is and what qualities they have.

Unit 5: Introduction to Economic Understanding.

• How can I start to think like an economist?Supply & Demand, Scarcity, Cost Benefit Analysis• Risk or certainty?Economic uncertainty and what the government can do about it. • Big or small?Monopoly power. Controlling big business. • Is growth good?How economies grow & how economic growth is measured.

Sustainable businesses- green growth. • Is the world fair?Is everyone equal? How can trade make us more equal? How can the

government help?

Ways to find it

• Use speech marks to get search for an exact phrase “Jamie Oliver businesses”

• Check the website you are being shown links to .co.uk = companies .gov.uk= government .org.uk= charities/pressure groups etc

• Give specific details e.g. date, what information you want

• Try rephrasing what you are looking for e.g. “How much is Alan sugar worth?” could be “Alan sugar personal wealth”
