Jeff Grammer
Entrepreneur, former investment banker and contributing writer for
Forbes. Derrick founded and is CEO of Tunezy, a music company
founded in Toronto, now based in New York City. Tunezy was
acquired in 2013 by SFX Entertainment. In 2014, Derrick was listed
on the prestigious Forbes Top 30 under 30 list.
Gururaj “Desh” Deshpande is the President and Chairman of
Sparta Group LLC, and Chairman of Tejas Networks. Involved
either as the founder, a founding investor or chairman of several
companies.. The Deshpande Foundation has facilitated the set up
of three other centers, outside of the Pond-Deshpande Centre.
Desh co-chairs a National Council to support President Obama’s
innovation and entrepreneurship strategy.

the CEO of Radian6. Marcel believes that “your brand is now the
sum of conversations about it”. He loves to talk about the
transformative effect of social media on how businesses
communicate with their customers, and he has been known to
geek out on the topic of social media metrics & measurement.

with a unique blend of marketing and technology experience
and expertise. Ranked 6th most followed CMO on Twitter by
Social Media Marketing Magazine. Ability to think outside the
box. Track record in leading Marketing and Product
Management groups to successfully introduce products to the

communications, strategic planning, and the development of
new business ventures.
Greg Hemmings is an entrepreneur, filmmaker, content
marketer and storyteller. Greg’s passion for documentary
filmmaking has taken him to all corners of the globe. He has
told compelling stories in the arctic, the Americas, Europe and
Asia. He owns a media Production Company called Hemmings
House, which has produced and sold Television shows to more
than 65 countries around the globe.Greg is also a dad, a
husband, a musician, a snowboarder and surfs the big waves of
the Bay of Fundy.
Hope BloomsHope Blooms is an urban youth led social innovation
enterprise. Youth ages 5 to 17 years of age come together
to create solutions to problems that marginalized
communities have struggled with for generations; food
insecurity, lack of social inclusion and youth
underemployment.
These youth founded Hope Blooms Fresh herb Dressings, using organic ingredients they grow
and over the past year and a half have sold over 15,000 bottles and growing. They have put all
profits into growing yearly since 2008, over 2500 pounds of organic produce for their
community, started a scholarship fund and just opened their community food hub.

Founder of Ongozah. At 16, I ran my first start-up selling computers &
teaching people how to use them. 2nd company was coding ruby on rails
platforms, one of which was my own, called reasonto.be. and formed a
company called Ongozah I'm also a songwriter - check them out on
YouTube!
Cat Adalay is the President and owner of Adalay 3D, a 3D design, 3D
printing, and prototyping company based in Halifax. Cat is also working
on a 2nd company that is creating a new type of turbine. Cat went to
Queen’s University for mechanical engineering. Cat coaches a basketball
team and teaches hardware programming, 3D design, & 3D printing to
kids. She enjoys working on other hardware-based projects that she
believes make a difference in the world.
Alex Gillis is a 16 year old grade 11 student who has been spearheading
the entrepreneurial scene since he first gained interest 5 years ago.
Originally a web designer, Alex has learned to attract clients and gain
traction for web-based entities. This leadership has led Alex to the role
of Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bitness.
Kyle is a social entrepreneur, a beer-maker, an actor, a hockey goalie, and
a first-rate storyteller. Kyle and his partner recently started the business,
Wear Your Label; the first conscious clothing line aimed at individual
consumer awareness of the importance of positive mental health.
