Potential future research of water-energy-environment nexus: a (Yangtze River) watershed perspective
Changjiang Water Resources Commission (CWRC)
CWRC was established in February 1950, and is responsible to the
Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) for the Yangtze Basin and
the southwest river basins. It undertakes water administration on
behalf of the MWR.
Its responsibilities also include law enforcement, integrated
management, conservation, distribution and protection of water
resources, basin planning, flood control and drought relief, water
project construction and management, river channel management,
sand extraction management, soil and water conservation,
scientific research and management of water projects……
CWRC has over 20,000 staff, of which 8,000 are experienced
professionals relating to water resources and hydropower.
Flood Control Physical Model of Changjiang River
CRSRI is subordinated to the CWRC and dedicated to provide
scientific and technological decision making support for national water
sector and the harnessing, protection, utilization and administration of
Changjiang River. CRSRI also aims to offer high-level technical
services and consultation and to develop high-tech products for related
industries and projects.
