1. TERMSOFREFERENCE&SCOPEWhat is required is a valuation of all the dams across the country for purposes of Zimwa FinancialStatements.Thisneedstobedoneintwostages(a) Abridged versionof valuation,which is adesktop valuation to be completedwithin 2weeks. This

versionwillneedtofocusontop20%ofthedamassetsthatcontribute80%ofthevalue.(b) Fullscalevaluationwhichhastobecompletedwithin4months.Againafairamountofthiswillneed

tobedesktopbecausethereisnowayalldamscanbevisited.ActionPointistosubmitanactionplancoveringthescopeoverviewasdiscussede.g.tabulationofallthecatchmentsofZinwa,atabulationofallthedamsintiersbysizeandalsobytypeofdam.Anyotherhighlevelsinformation.Thiswillgointotheactionprogrammethatistobesubmittedtomorrow.ThisactionplanisaprecursortoboththeAbridgedVersionoftheValuationExerciseandtheFullScaleExerciseMethodologyWehaveattachedheretoanoverviewofthemajordamsreferenceAnnexureA.WehavealsoincludedalistofallthedamsinZimbabweincludingprivatedamsAnnexureB.Ourmethodologywillcoverthefollowinginformation.The80/20rulewillbeappliedontheabridgedassignmentbecauseoftimelinesgiven.(i) Summary of dams ie. categorised as Large, Medium, Small

(ii) Full Supply Capacity

(iii) Yield 4% and 10%

(iv) Year of Construction

(v) Type of Dam (eg. concrete, masonry etc)

(vi) Spillway Type and Capacity (to assist in determining any other usage such as hydro generetaion)

(vii) Hydrological zone (in this case Catchment might be appropriate)

(viii) Probable Assest Condition (any major remedial works)

(ix) Usage (Urban, Industrial or Mining)
