Youth Mission Trips

In 2003, we went to Indianapolis.

We have gone to Kokomo four times since 2006.

Time for an international trip

Why an international mission trip?

• Stretch comfort zones• Experience new cultures• The Great Commission – all nations!•It is new and exciting

•People still need the Gospel• The Great Commission• Spend money on God’s desires• Following God’s call

What are the needs in Hong Kong?

• Relationships• Jesus• Successful schools• Churches

What are the qualifications to serve?

• You must be a Christian• You must speak English

What are the benefits to the servants?

• Personal involvement in the GreatCommission.• Stretch comfort zones• New relationships

What will servants do?

• Build relationships• Lead Vacation Bible School(teach Bible lessons, lead crafts, music, games)

What is a typical trip like?

• Recover from jet lag• Lead upper elem VBS in AM• Lead lower elem VBS in PM• Dinner out on our own or w/ Hong Kong hosts• Sleep at the school• Visit a theme park• Return to Cincy

What help with there be for us?

• Beautiful Savior Lutheran Churchhas been there 2-3 times before.• BSLC will supply a guide• BSLC takes 20-25 teensplus adults • BSLC has a DCE w/a call to serve in Hong Kong. He’s willing to come to Cincy!

What is the cost?

• Airfare -- $1200-1500• In-country -- $300(incl all meals, housing, travelinsurance, transportation in HK)• Guide -- $200?• Travel meals, souvenirs, etc.)• Passport -- $100 (ifneeded)Est Total -- $2000
