Radio Show PitchUnit 19 – L04

Show Name• The show will be called ‘Hardcore Hour’ BBC Radio 1, within a

fictional radio show, hosted by me called ‘AMPED FM’.

Scheduling & Running Time• The show will be featured weekly, on Fridays at 11:00pm,

running till midnight and will launch on the weekend of ‘Hevy Fest’, a celebration of hardcore music.

Genre & Target Audience• During this show viewers will be ‘amped up’ by the thrashy

sounds of hardcore punk rock. Targeted towards young males, aged 18-25, as they will be more in tune with the social media platforms that the show will engage them on, and are more likely to be fans of the genre.

• Females of the same age will be the secondary audience, as they can still be fans of the genre, although it is a predominantly male fan base.

Running Orders

Playlists• The music played on the radio will be current and trending

with a few classics of the genre, ranging from the popular hardcore band ‘Counterparts’ to classic hardcore band ‘Have Heart’.

Scripted Sections• Due to the style of the show, sections won’t be scripted and

instead the host will be given notes to stir general conversation.

• However, scripted sections will need to be put in place for high profile guests that appear on the show.
