Mission of AmpliFIRE Support Action
The over-all mission of the AmpliFIRE Support Action is to support the FIRE Community to prepare FIRE for 2020, by strengthening the
exploitation and impact creation capacities of Future Internet Research and Experimentation (FIRE) facilities.
It does so by bringing the concept of open innovation into the world of Future Internet research and experimentation, involving beneficiaries across the range from infrastructure technologies to new modes of interaction and empowerment.
AmpliFIRE enhances the awareness for FIRE-enabled research and innovation opportunities in the business community, in societal domains and in the existing FIRE community.
Consortium: AALTO (c) InterInnov LTU-CDT IT Innovation MARTEL iMinds Telefónica R+D HUJI

PO: Nikolaos Isaris, CNECT E4
AmpliFIRE Main Objectives
1. Develop a Vision 2020 of Future Internet research and experimentation, including the role of FIRE facilities; setting out a transition path towards a “FIRE Ecosystem 2020”
2. Assess today’s capabilities and resources, finding those required to realize the future vision, finding gaps to be addressed
3. Explore collaboration opportunities and models to realize longer term sustainability of a European-wide Future Internet experimental facility, based on service offer portfolio
