PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS

DRILL FLOOR MATTING

Traction Mats or Pads for the drill floor are designed to specifically provide a high degree of traction in a very active work environment where there is substantial risk to worker injury as a result slips and falls.

As the inherent hazards on a drill floor are greatly increased due to drilling fluids being present, AMS traction Pads have been designed to continually provide positive traction while contributing to the control and drainage of these fluids.

Typical Drill Floor package designs include: Either stainless steel studding and/or a molded traction profiles Molded drainage/fluid channels Aggressive non-skid aggregate coating

Additional features commonly included in design of a drill floor package can range from: bevelled perimeter edges, red-zone markings (either thick solid lines or entire zones) identifying high risk areas with embossed safety logos or markings.

SETBACK / PIPE-RACKING PADS

Setback or Pipe Racking Pads are specifically designed to provide a more suitable surface than timber or grating covered racking areas, while at that same time absorbing the impact energy of racking back pipe during drilling operations. Not only does this solution increase personnel safety it helps to ensure that the tool-face and threads are protected from accidental damage. Custom sized and molded using the toughest most durable polymer blend currently available; CS-150FR & CS-2500FR these setback or pipe-racking pads have been proven to improve the efficiency of tripping by reducing potential lost time and eliminating unnecessary risks. Fluid channels are molded into the design in one direction, facilitating positive drainage and extra traction. These pads are built to withstand the compression and weight of all drill pipes and smaller O.D. collars.

NEW for 2016: Sloped fluid channels now available for Setback Pads

MATERIALS & COMPONENTS

Any version of the ADVANCED MAT SYSTEM® is an assembly of specialized materials, components and options that can be interchanged during the design and engineering stage. There are three main elements that make up the sum of finished product; the polymer, the non-skid protective coating and the traction profile. This customization process ensures that the final package configuration is optimized to meet the demands for the working environment and industrial conditions.

For example: 1. Traction Profile; a high traffic or high risk work area on a Drilling Rig (i.e. rig floor)

may demand that our Stainless Steel Stud profile is used to ensure the highest degree of traction, as compared to accommodation deck platforms and stairs which may only require our Low-Profile design along with a different polymer blend.

1. POLYMERS:

All Polymers used in the manufacturing of the ADVANCED MAT SYSTEM® are high density 100% Solid Urethane Elastomers. These polymers have each been developed for extreme environmental and industrial conditions with physical attributes such; as corrosion, chemical, invert resistance as well as ultra-violet stability and anti-fungal properties. With excellent physical properties such as high tear, tensile strength and compressive strength, the longevity and durability of these polymers is unrivalled.

MATERIALS / ANATOMY:

1. 100% Solid Urethane Elastomer “POLYMER” (TC90FR, CS-100FR, CS-150FR, CS-2500FR)

2. Non-Skid & Protective Coating

3. Traction Profiles - Various Molded or Embedded

POLYMER TYPE DESCRIPTION

2. NON-SKID & PROTECTIVE COATING:

CS-200/300 is the outer protective & non-skid coating that is the final component making up the sum of the finished product. These two component polyurethanes seal and provide additional resistance from chemicals, diesel, other corrosive fluids and ultra-violet rays. This coating also contains the aluminum oxide aggregate required to provide the additional traction while providing excellent resistance to abrasion. The flexibility of CS200/300 is inherent in the basic polymer and not subject to embrittlement with age.

Note: Safety Yellow is our standard finish however, we will provide any color matching upon request.
