Introduction

AMS Inspection Rounds digitizes information collected during inspection routes to drive operations and maintenance action. By delivering information to automation systems, personnel have accurate, real-time information that enables them to make better decisions. Graphical dashboards deliver insight into plant condition, helping prioritize action and highlighting critical safety issues.

With AMS Inspections Rounds, operations and maintenance personnel can replace the typical clipboard approach to automate visual inspections and manual data collection. Instead of using a paper-based system that is time-consuming and error-prone, easily record your data and connect it with other plant systems so that critical information reaches decision-makers. Structured workflows drive consistent and repeatable data collection procedures, improving the accuracy of information.

AMS Inspection Rounds is comprised of an app for AMS Trex to facilitate data collection in the field and server-based application for route configuration, scheduling, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reporting. Using Auto Sync technology in the AMS Trex, data from the field can be automatically sent to the server using Wi-Fi. You can also easily connect your AMS Trex via USB to update data. Data collected in the field is user-, date-, and time-stamped for accurate record-keeping and compliance requirements.

Easily Configure Routes and View Collected Data

With AMS Inspection Rounds, you can easily create and schedule routes on the server and then load those routes to the AMS Trex. Flexible scheduling allows you to gather data on a specific date, multiple times per day, or anything in-between. Create plant structures and define assets to optimize routes. When the route is complete, view reported alerts and work order recommendations on an easy-to-use dashboard. Track KPIs, including route status, action item status, and alerts and export reports to Excel when needed.

Automate Data Collection in the Field

Using the AMS Inspection Rounds app on AMS Trex, quickly view a schedule of upcoming routes and their status. Save time on the route by using pre-configured fields to record required information. Work instructions will help clarify the task to ensure consistency and accuracy in collection. You can also view history to reference previous inspection data. Create action items or add notes when necessary to provide complete information on the status of the plant. This ability enables technicians and operators to easily communicate unexpected conditions.

Too often, information collected in the field is not included with process information, removing key information from decision-makers. Automatically synchronize data collected in the field to easily identify issues and drive action. Standardized KPI dashboards provide a graphical view of routes, status, alerts, and action items.

Identify and Resolve Safety Issues Early and Verify Safety System Compliance

When routes are recorded on paper, critical safety issues can be lost in the notes. If an unexpected safety issue is found in the field, easily generate an alert and escalate to ensure the issue is resolved quickly.

Verify proper maintenance, operation, and compliance of SIS systems, fire extinguishers, safety showers, and eye washes. Access MSDS sheets directly on the AMS Trex for easy reference. Report and escalate unsafe working environments.

The AMS Trex Device Communicator delivers a modern user experience in a rugged, intrinsically safe package, providing the experience of consumer devices in a tool built to withstand harsh industrial environments.

This rugged device is easy to hold, yet designed to take the bumps and drops that come from normal use in the plant. The Trex unit is protected against moisture and extreme temperatures, so you can work regardless of environmental conditions. The outer shell meets Intrinsic Safety standards, limiting the buildup of static electrical energy.

The Trex carrying case features a convenient window so you can easily access the unit - and contains pockets for any additional accessories.

Pre-defined work instructions ensure the data collection is complete and consistent.
