  • Additional Activities Dramatic Play Practice: In work choice time, create a play store where students can practice playing with pennies and nickels. Comparing Coins by Feel: Put coins in a Feely Box, and children must guess, by touch only, which coin it is. Games: Money Cube Game Penny-Nickel Exchange Penny-Nickel-Dime Exchange Money Conversion Dice Game Money Grid Make Exchange Chart Each child makes a coin exchange chart using stamps. Ongoing Coin Calendar: Create a giant coin chart that correlates with calendar and unit; a visual representation of the value of coins, and relationships between penny to nickel, nickel to dime, etc. It will help highlight the pattern coin values.
