Dr. Alan Wilson, C.Eng., BSc., PhD Dr. Alan has experience as Founder and Chairman of the UK Computer Aided Maintenance Management Group, He is currently assisting the National Operations and Maintenance Standards Committee on a project to improve O&M performance throughout the Government Establishments. Dr. Alan has represented the UK at the European Federation of National Maintenance Societies, represents the British Standards Institute, and is a founder member of the International Maintenance Association.

To provide participants with the capacity to describe what constitutes an asset management system to ISO 55000/1, create an asset management framework and apply that asset management framework to contribute to planning that achieves business objectives.

Asset Management Council

The Asset Management Council of Australia is a founding member of the global forum and considered a thought leader amongst its peers. This course is intended to provide applicants with a recognized Australian certification in Asset Management along with the knowledge of how to achieve the goal for asset management as enunciated by the GFMAM. Persons attending the course will receive a one year membership of the Asset Management Council and access to an on-line exam to achieve certified CAAM status in the Council.

Jim is a Mechanical Engineer with post-graduate qualifications in Risk Management and in Maintenance Engineering and Management from Swinburne University in Melbourne. He has over 50 years of experience in maintenance and asset management in the aerospace, rail, power, water, and defense industries.

For the last 29 years Jim has been directly involved in Asset Management activities including 9 years as Technical Director Maintenance Engineering Society of Australia )MESA( and 8 years as Chair and Board member of the Asset Management Council.

Over the last 27 years Jim has developed and delivered courses in Asset Management and Maintenance. Jim’s 25-year history with the Asset Management Council and its predecessors was recognized with his award of the MESA Medal in May 2004.
