•InthisnursingandhealthcareprofessionscoursestudentsfromvariousmajorswillexplorethehealthneedsandthehealthandhumanservicesdeliverysysteminCostaRica,aswellasthehistory,culture,andbeautyofthisCentralAmericanCountry.StudentswillexamineissuesthatimpacthealthintheU.S.A.andCostaRicaandtherolesofhealthcareprofessionalsinthedeliveryofhealthcare.ThisimmersionexperienceincludeshomestaywithahostfamilyandSpanishlanguagestudy.
•CoursewillbetaughtinCostaRica,primarilyinSanJoseincollaborationwithUNIBE,awell-establishedpartnership.StudentswillworkwithCostaRicanhealthcareworkersathospitalsandclinicsintheSanJosearea.SpanishlanguageclassesareheldinclassroomspaceatUNIBE.
