APPLYING FOR UNIVERSITY
ACTIVITY PROGRAMME
Pupils have EAL lessons included at no extra charge and have the opportunity to work in their year groups towards an external examination such as PET, FCE, CAE and CPE. All pupils from year 12 upwards have IELTS lessons.
Overseas pupils are required to sit an English and Mathematics entrance examination and to provide their two most recent school reports. A Level candidates will also sit exams in two of their A Level Subjects. A Skype or face-to-face interview will also be conducted. Pupils whose level of English is below the required standard may be advised to spend a period of time in the ISC.

There is a very strong business focus in the school with the award winning ‘Moreton Enterprises’ promoting entrepreneurship. and leadership. Retail businesses include a stationery shop, a clothing line and a café; run by the girls, for the girls.
The Enrichment Programme is both varied and rich in content and is central to what we do at Moreton Hall. Originally designed to assist in the preparation of Oxbridge candidates the Enrichment Programme has now been extended to each year group and is available to every girl in the school.

This British Council accredited course run by Moreton
Hall’s International Study Centre (ISC) provides
outstanding A Level preparation. It provides a boarding
experience for international students including those
who plan to study at a UK boarding school.
BEYOND THE ISCINCLUDED IN THE COURSE:
• While students are studying at Moreton Hall
International Study Centre they will be assisted in
making choices to enter prestigious English boarding
schools. Female students may be offered immediate
entry to Moreton Hall.
• Former students of Moreton Hall International Study
Centre have continued their education after A Levels
at prestigious UK universities including Oxford,
Cambridge, Nottingham, Durham, London School of
Economics, UCL and Imperial College London.
• Excursions
To add to the learning experience, our students
are taken on visits to places of cultural and historic
interest such as Oxford and Cambridge Universities,
London, Chester, Shrewsbury, castles and museums.
These visits enhance the understanding of the
English language and British culture.

Students have access to many extra-curricular activities while at Moreton Hall which all help to develop further their

Crystal completed one year in the ISC before joining the Sixth Form. She said that the ISC provided excellent preparation for study at a UK school, specifically cultural integration as well as improving her English language skills. Crystal, from Shanxi in China, has taken A Levels in Maths, Further Maths and Economics and plans to study Economics atKing’s College, London.
Helen, from Stuttgart, Germany, has just completed her two year A Level course at Moreton Hall and hopes to study Interior Architecture at Manchester Met University. She plans to take a Gap Year first and is going to do Voluntary Work in Vietnam and Bali.
Linda, from Jinan in China, completed one term in the ISC before joining Moreton Sixth, where she took A Levels in Maths, Chinese and History of Art. She plans to study History of Art at UCL. She enjoyed visits to famous Art galleries in the UK while studying at Moreton Hall.

Rithika joined Moreton Hall in Year 10 and gained top grades in her GCSE exams. She plans to studyBiochemistry at Warwick University after completing A Levels in Science subjects. Coming from a large, noisy city in India she says that she relishes the peace and quiet of the Shropshire countryside.
Jess, from Shenzhen in China, joined Moreton Hall in Year 9, so benefited from a year at school before embarking on her GCSE course. She took A Levels in Economics, Maths and Chinese and plans to study Economics and Eastern European Studies at UCL. She hopes to work for a period of time in the UK before returning to her home country.
Constance, from Hong Kong, joined Moreton Hall in Year 11 and has taken A Levels in Psychology,Maths and Chinese. She hopes to study Law at Warwick University. She really enjoyed her time atMoreton Hall, particularly the supportive and friendly atmosphere.
