Although this time is primarily about honoring students, the teachers are also appreciated as well.
Many students can be found smiling and laughing as spirits are high throughout the week. The amazing Cardinal Band announced their school spirit through music. --Continued on page 9

Superheroes Save the Day With Various Superpowers Comic book characters gained a new superpower last Tuesday, the power to jump out of the pages! Flooding the hallways of MMS were characters such as Captain America, Batman, The Flash, and others.
The students and staff took turns in dressing up as their favorite superheroes for the second day of homecoming.

Forget fashion. On Wednesday, MMS Cardinals raided their closets for what not to wear. They dressed in anything that didn't match. These “wacky” participants proudly walked the halls of the school. Most people were dressed head to toe in wacky clothes. “I like Wacky Wednesday because I get to look and act crazy,” Kate McMinn stated. Overall, many students and staff enjoyed this day.

Seeing Double: Friends Pair up for Twin Dayevents that happened during homecoming week.
Many people would argue that this is the most entertaining day, as cooperating with friends to become “twins” can become interesting. Some went to great lengths choosing to wear more extreme fashion choices. Whether or not you dressed up, everyone had a blast seeing the complementing attires. It was double the fun.

Cardinal Day topped off the MMS homecoming week. This tradition is for Melissa students to show school pride by wearing school colors of mums and t-shirts. “I think it’s a good thing to show spirit, because it shows that students can be respectful and responsible,” Brianne Finnell said. For many, this experience proved to be exciting an exciting time on campus.
