HPS A New Technique- Print Development on Thermal Papers (A Non Destructive Method)

Hot Print System (HPS) – is a revolutionary new device to automatically and consistently develop fingerprints on thermal paper.

Thermal paper is a common medium for printed information and has become more prevalent with ATM receipts, point of sale receipts, airline boarding passes and parking tickets. The frequency by which thermal paper may be encountered as evidence, now poses significant problems for latent print development. Common solvent-based chemical development techniques can have a detrimental effect on this evidence and can destroy crucial information on the document.

There has been numerous research projects carried out around the world to find an effective and non-destructive technique for fingerprint recovery on thermal papers and the HPS (Hot Print System) is leading the way with an extremely compact heating device that will develop prints in a matter of minutes.

Developed in the UK through extensive research, the Hot Plate system (HPS) is now available in Australia and NZ through Pathtech.
