Introduction to LINUS 2.0

Programs to increase student achievement in literacy and numeracy proficiency (LINUS) involve writing and reading proficiency in the Malay language will be extended to the English language, known as LINUS 2.0.This is due to the impressive achievements of the LINUS program since its introduction in 2010, in which 99.8 per cent of students in Year Three of the program since 2010 successfully mastered literacy) write and read), while 99.92 percent of the students successfully master basic numeracy (counting)

LINUS 2.0 Program GoalsThe goal of this program is to ensure that primary school pupils in Level I able to master basic English language literacy except special students after three years of the LINUS program.LINUS 2.0 objectives

In the end, pupils are:

a) able to communicate with peers and adults appropriately,b) able to read and comprehend simple texts and stories, andc) able to write a range of texts through a variety of media.
