An analog signal is any continous signal for which the time varying feature (variable) of the signal is a representation of some other time varying quantity.

Analog wave called baud.
Digital signals must have a finite set of possible values. The number of values in the set can be anywhere between two and a-very-large-number-that’s-not-infinity. Most commonly digital signals will be one of two values – like either (0V and 5V) or (0 and 1). Timing graphs of these signals look like square waves.

Analog to Digital Conversion
An analog to digital converter converts a continuous physical quantity (usually voltage) to a digital number that represents the quantity's amplitude (0 and 1).

Sampling Quintizing Coding Multiplexing
• Continous• Good for low traffic comunication• High possibility to error• Hard to fix an error• Susceptible to noise• Small information capacity• Hard to modificate the signal• Frequency-based concept• A lot of bandwith
• Discrete• Good for high traffic
communication• Small possibility to error• Easy to fix an error• Resistant to noise• Bigger information capacity• Easy to modificate the signal• Time-based concept• Less bandwith
