Home remedies to make your hair grow faster T rying to grow Rapunzel-esque hair? We’ve got you covered! Rather than opting for over-the-counter solutions to make your tresses grow faster, head to your kitchen and you will surely find something to serve the purpose. Here are some natural, easy-on-pocket, and chemical free home reme- dies… Green tea: Instead of throwing away the used green tea bags, you can reuse them to make your hair stronger and luscious. All you need to do is to boil these used bags in water for a minute and apply this warm green tea on your scalp. Let it stay for about 45 min- utes and then wash it off with cool water. Green tea is rich in anti-oxidants that pro- mote hair growth, and makes them stronger from roots. Egg mask: Start with mixing an egg white with a tablespoon each of olive oil and honey. Apply this mask on your scalp and hair for about 20 minutes, and rinse it off with a mild shampoo. This hair concoction is packed with protein, phospohorous, zinc, iron and other nutrients that will make your locks lustrous and healthy. Onion Juice: If you can bear the smell of onion juice, this tried and tested method can work wonders for your hair. All you need to do is chop onion into small pieces and squeeze out its juice. Apply it evenly all over your scalp for 20 minutes and wash it off with a mild shampoo. Fenugreek: Grind a tablespoon of this herb with water to make a smooth paste. You can also add some milk in it, and apply it on your hair and scalp for about 40 minutes. Follow this with rinsing it off with a mild shampoo. Fenugreek contains proteins and nicotinic acid that promote hair growth and also makes them luscious. Apple cider: Just mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with a cup of warm water. Massage this potion on your scalp for about two to three minutes and wash it off with a shampoo. Apple cider vinegar stimulates the hair follicles and in turn helps hair to grow faster. Plus, it also cleanses your scalp apart and maintains the pH balance of hair. Health benefits of playing outside I t's sad that city offers few open spaces for kids to play. However, even your building com- pound as an outdoor play area may sufficensince there are quite a few scien- tific benifits to playing outside. Improves Vision A study by an optometry found that children who spend time outside have better distance vision than those who primarily play indoors. Promotes Social Skills: Experts believe that get- ting kids outside promotes a wide range of skills. On a playground not everyone gets to go down the slide first. The fact that kids negotiate among them- selves promotes social skills, executive functions and behavioral skills. Increases Attention Span; Studies have shown that green outdoor set- tings appear to reduce ADHD symptoms in chil- dren. Exposure to natural settings through after- school and weekend activi- ties may be widely effective in reducing attention deficit symptoms in chil- dren. Also, the fact that kids want to investigate things helps them in being more self directed. Reduces Stress: Spending time outside playing is a huge outlet for stress. It is relaxing and healing (not often!). There is even research showing that seeing green spaces can help decrease kids' stress levels. Provides Vitamin D : Many kids suffer from vitamin D deficiencies. vitamin has several health benefits, including pre- venting kids from future bone problems, diabetes and even heart disease. The sun is a great source of the essential vitamin. So, have your kids play outside for a few minutes without sun screen and then you can apply some on them. Guess which is Alia's favourite song from 'Jab Harry Met Sejal'? ASTRO SPEAK Don't take anything you read or hear today at face value, Aries. It's possible that you'll receive some rather distressing news, but before you react in frustration, read the fine print. The news may not really be so bad. In fact, it may not even be true! Take a deep breath and heave a sigh of relief, then get back to your normal routine. This is bound to be a wonderful day, Taurus. You're looking and feeling great and it shows! This is a day of kindness and cooperation. You could find that your family pitches in to help at home without being asked. Your romantic partner might volunteer to clean out the garage and your children start to clean their rooms. This definitely isn't your typical day! Enjoy the harmony that reigns today. MAR 21 - APR 20 ARIES APR 21 - MAY 20 TAURUS This is a good day for you to analyze information, Gemini. You have an especially acute business sense, which you should use to your advantage. Whether you're thinking of translating a creative project into a business proposal or working on that business plan, all indications say that your efforts will yield rich rewards. Make the most of whatever this day has to offer. You're a conscientious, hard worker, Cancer, but today your thoughts are more on home than work. You feel especially close to your family and friends. They mean the most to you. Jobs and even careers come and go, but friends and fami- ly are forever. Enjoy being with them today. Gather everyone together and order too much Chinese take-out. MAY 21 - JUN 20 GEMINI JUN 22 - JUL 23 CANCER Today is likely to be another busy one for you, Leo. You might have a volunteer activity in the morning and then get roped into running errands in the afternoon. It will be busy bordering on hec- tic, but the hustle and bustle of being out and about is energizing for you. Invite some friends to join you for dinner in the evening to cap off this high-energy day. JUL 24 - AUG 23 LEO You have a strong spirit of cooperation today, Virgo. It inspires you to pitch in and help others without being asked. Your romantic partner could be surprised to see you show up and help with a chore. Never mind that you don't know what you're doing - you'll figure it out. Others will be impressed to see you going above and beyond what you've been asked to do. AUG 24 - SEP 23 VIRGO Keep your eyes and ears open to all new possibilities, Libra. Even if it isn't your habit to read the "Help Wanted" section of the newspaper, do so today. You might be surprised at what you find there. Your skills apply to all sorts of jobs. You don't need to limit your search to one profession. You have a good mind that's working in overdrive now. Use it to figure out the next steps for your advancement. Today your strong sense of nostalgia likely has you leaning toward all things old. If you do some furni- ture shopping, you'll be drawn to antique shops rather than contemporary stores. There is some- thing about the patina that only comes with age. This applies to people as well as objects, which may explain why you tend to prefer to be with peo- ple who are older than you. SEP 24 - OCT 22 LIBRA OCT 23 - NOV 22 SCORPIO This is bound to be a wonderful day, Sagittarius, as everybody seems to be in a warm and con- genial mood. You and your romantic partner, in particular, are feeling especially close and con- nected today. If marriage is the process of falling in and out of love, then you're both definitely in the "in" phase. Enjoy it while it lasts! Spend a quiet day together and cap it off with dinner at an elegant bistro. You have much to be grateful for, Capricorn. Why not go out tonight and celebrate with friends? Forget about work and family troubles and kick up your heels. Have a high old time. You deserve the break. If you don't seize these moments when you have the opportunity, you risk becoming a single-minded indi- vidual who thinks only of work at the expense of life's other great pleasures. NOV 23 - DEC 22 SAGITTARIUS DEC 23 - JUL 20 CAPRICORN You're eager and optimistic today, Aquarius, which works well with your strong, capable nature. You're likely to find that things begin to click into place at work. Something that has been troubling you for some time suddenly becomes clear. What was once a stumbling block is now a mere bump in the road and easily overcome. All indications are that you'll be successful at whatever you do now. JAN 21 - FEB 23 AQUARIUS Today should be devoted to paperwork and getting your financial affairs and budgets in order, Pisces. Once this is done, you can relax in the evening with friends and loved ones. You're especially intuitive right now, so you'll be able to pick up on all the unspoken thoughts and feelings of those around you. FEB 20 - MAR 20 PISCES
