Pink and purple colours which are represented as stereotypical girly colours. THE MAIN IMAGE, the main image is of a well known artist who is popular to the genre of music the magazine is targeted at. Britney is sexualized in this image, as she has her hair and make up done, and she has a lot of skin showing. Barcode-date/issue/price- this helps sell the magazine in the shops, so they know the price when they scan the barcode. The issue number helps keep the readers organized with which issue they need or haven’t read. The image is a canted angle which shows chaos. The main image shows that it’s related to hip hop or indie. It’s his own style, but he still looks clean and tidy.

THE MAIN COVER LINE, attracts the audience because it’s in big capital bold writing which is the artist’s name. it’s in the centre as it’s the first place the audience will look. The writing is at a canted angle to give the impression of chaos, using the same effect as the main image.

this is a happy and friendly quote from Dizzee Rascal, we know this because he uses the word ‘man’ to make it friendly, and the word ‘joy’ which gives a happy approach. This shows that it is not formal.

BACKGROUND, the background is very busy and colourful and the background looks like a wall with graffiti on. This is relating to the type of genre.

USE OF A FLASHER, offers something extra to the target audience. It stand out because the white writing contrasts the red background. It gives a friendly approach by using words like ‘wowee zowee’.

BACKGROUND, there is no background on this front cover magazine because it’s too busy with photographs, sell lines and the mast head. This helps relating to the genre because it all looks a bit messy as everything is on top of one another. A little bit of empty space is shown in the colour yellow to make the blacks which are mainly used, to stand out.

THE MAIN IMAGE, straight away from looking at the main image you can tell the type of genre the magazine includes. This is from the dark clothing, dark hair, and dark eyes. It’s a well known artist in this type of genre, which will attract its target audience. The man in the image looks serious, to show the genre of music is quite serious and dull.

THE MASTHEAD, is black bold capital writing which contracts on the white background, making it stand out. People will automatically look at the masthead and recognise the magazine from the colours and font ect.

RULE OF THIRDS/THE LEFT THIRD, the rule of thirds isn’t really used on this magazine because everything seems as if it’s just been thrown on the front cover, as there is a lot of information. Although, the artists top half of his body is to the front of everything else behind it in the top centre third at the top. It covers a bit of the mast head, but makes the face stand out even more, as it’s less busy around his face.

All the photographs are of artists of the same genre of music as the magazine and it’s audience. You can tell straight away from the photographs, the type of genre which the magazine is about.
