This contents page uses a Colour Scheme of Black, White and Red with some Blue.

The editorial pillar in the left third near the top of the page are features. Indicating that the articles listed in this area are the more popular stories in the magazine.

The article titles are listed in the features column. They are important because they are the main articles in this issue.

There are four images on this page. The main photo is a long shot of Guy Garvey the lead singer of a band called Elbow. The colours in the picture fit to the colour scheme of the magazine.

There are 3 smaller images used on this contents page. The one in the bottom left corner split into two sections. One side is a close up portrait shot of a man, the other side is the same man performing on stage. This could be a picture for an album cover and a picture of him on tour performing.

The text used for the title is the largest and boldest on the page. It is highlighted by a red box surrounding the title at the top of the page

The image is a black and white mid shot of the artist Kanye West. This is the only image on the page making it stand out to a certain target audience.

The magazine have used a variety of fonts so the page looks more unique and professional.

The features are listed on the right hand side of the page in varying fonts making each one standing out individually. However the font is quite small suggesting that the magazine may want the readers to focus on the artist in the image.

The largest text on the page is the title is the largest and boldest on the page. It is place near the top right corner

The issue number and page number are in the bottom right corner.

A grey ‘V’, which stands for the name of the magazine, is position behind the cover image. This is a distinct design feature for ‘Vibe’ Magazine.

This magazine has a fashion section indication that they are not just a music magazine. This makes the magazine appeal to a wider target audience.

The page numbers in the red boxes inform the reader which page each article is on. This is important because its on of the main functions of the contents page.
