The 2017 Golden Door Gala is ADL Austin’s new annual event. It is the evolution of both Torch of Liberty

and True Colors into one very special evening, uniting members from across Austin’s diverse community. Join us to celebrate

ADL’s 104 years of fighting to uphold the highest ideals of our country, and securing justice and fair treatment for all.

The gala will begin with a VIP cocktail reception where major donors are invited to meet and greet the evening’s honorees and keynote speaker, followed by the gala

cocktail reception and major donor dinner.

Directly following the Golden Door Gala, GILDED, A True Colors Event, will take place on the Four Seasons lawn and engage ADL’s young leaders in impactful

activities that communicate the mission and work of ADL. GILDED will feature live music, an open bar and snacks.

Combating Hate & Extremism L AW E N F O R C E M E N T T R A I N I N G : ADL is the foremost non-governmental organization in the U.S. that oers law enforcement agencies training on domestic terrorism, extremism, hate crimes, as well as training to promote fairness, equity and respect. Our law enforcement trainings provide ocers with the information they need to protect our country—and themselves—against extremist violence.

I N V E S T I G AT I V E R E S E A R C H : ADL tracks extremist activity in the U.S. and abroad, assists law enforcement with countless investigations, and employs cutting-edge technology to track developments in real time.

F I G H T I N G A N T I - S E M I T I S M : ADL exposes anti-Semitic words and actions and conducts detailed polls to track American and global trends. ADL challenges American and world leaders to take action against anti-Jewish bigotry and violence, and exposes and condemns attacks on Jews.

N O P L AC E F O R H AT E ® : ADL empowers schools to promote respect for individual and group dierences while challenging prejudice and bigotry. No Place for Hate now reaches more than 300 campuses from 14 districts across Central Texas.

Building Bridges AU S T I N / T R AV I S C O U N T Y H AT E C R I M E S TA S K F O R C : ADL convenes stakeholders “to create a forum that fosters open dialogue about hate and discrimination and strengthens the bonds of our community through prevention, response, and restoration.”

C Y B E R H AT E I N I T I AT I V E : Since 1985, ADL has been a pioneer in confronting cyberhate. We have partnered with industry leaders and legal experts to identify and remove online hate speech. In 2016, ADL formed the Center on Technology & Society to double down on its strategic investments to advance these eorts.

Protecting Democratic IdealsSince its inception, ADL has helped to end discriminatory practices against Jews, unmask the Ku Klux Klan and advocate for milestone legislation that has advanced the rights of everyone in the United States, including The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and The Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009.
