As 4Life’s fifth distributors to achieve the rank of Platinum International Diamond, Jeff and Michelle Altgilbers have many wonderful things to look back on. While Jeff had previous experience in network marketing, he was able to find true success with 4Life®.

Jeff initially started developing his 4Life business over 12 years ago when his previous career as a small-business owner fell apart. Jeff ran a cleaning company successfully for ten

years, but lost two major accounts and had no money coming in. As Jeff began looking for other options, he considered network marketing. “I was very impressed with it. I knew people who had made some serious money with it. I decided it was the only way I was ever going to get back on my feet financially,” stated Jeff.

Jeff began looking at different options to determine which company to get involved with. He had heard about 4Life from former colleagues, and

also spoke with his friend, Platinum International Diamond Dave Daughtrey. After hearing many good things about the products and learning more about Founders David and Bianca Lisonbee, Jeff decided 4Life was the right company for him.

The only challenge he faced now was finding the money to get started. All he had left from the bankruptcy of his business was a junk truck with a flat tire. He decided if he could get a couple of hundred dollars from the truck, he

would have something to get going. After receiving $400, the truck was hauled away. He used $200 on his business and the other $200 for food.

Since he couldn’t afford a phone, his sponsor was gracious enough to give him a cell phone. He couldn’t get any reception in his house, so he would drive up to a farmer’s field to make phone calls, spreading his notes out on

the hood. “Those were hard times,” recalled Jeff. “I had my car repossessed and even had the electricity in my house turned off.”

Sundays were Jeff ’s “dream days.” He would walk around a historic neighborhood in his area and look at the beautiful homes and manicured lawns. He would dream about what his life would be like when he achieved his goals. Jeff visualized his dreams and 18 months later was able to move into one of these houses!

Jeff ’s business continued to grow as he spent more time traveling. As 4Life expanded into Asian markets, Jeff decided he would focus his business building in this area. He lived on the island of Guam, enjoying an ocean

house, but also spent much of his time living and working across Asia. His journeys took him to South Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, and India.

Jeff has learned throughout his business building efforts that when it comes to being a leader, it’s not about you; it’s about your team. “Having good character is one of the most

crucial aspects of being a leader,” noted Jeff. “You need to be someone who keeps your word, follows through, and is dependable. I strive to remain committed to my team’s success and let my distributors know I care about their business.”

Currently, Jeff is building his business in the Philippines, India, and the United States, increasing the level of product support and opening new LP centers. Jeff has seen many exciting things happen as word spreads about 4Life. “I feel strongly that our products work, our Life Rewards Plan™ works, and the 4Life management team is by far the best in the network marketing industry,” emphasized Jeff.

Jeff sums up his 4Life experiences as, “people, places, and unforgettable memories!” One of his favorite travel experiences was on a Platinum Pinnacle getaway to the Mediterranean. The group enjoyed seeing many historic places, including Ephesus, Turkey, and Athens, Greece. His favorite moment of the trip was listening to a string concert on the steps of Hadrian’s Library, a historical site in Ephesus.

Besides health support, financial independence, and the opportunity to travel, 4Life has given Jeff the chance to focus on family. “In the beginning, I was taking care of the immediate needs,” remarked Jeff. “But as a result of my travels, I met Michelle and that has really changed my life.” Jeff and Michelle met in Taiwan while he was working with business leaders across Asia.

They now enjoy life together in Tennessee, along with their children Micah, Alexander, and Arthur. Jeff also has a grown daughter, Julia, who lives in Georgia. “The most important thing I enjoy now is my family life with our children,” remarked Jeff. “The greatest thing a person can live for is being a parent.”

The family enjoys going to the national park near their home, taking walks, and observing the scenery. They have also done several renovations to their home and like to spend time in the yard, gardening and landscaping.

Jeff greatly values the time he has gained as a result of getting involved with 4Life. Regardless of the success he has achieved, the time freedom is even more valuable to him. “Time freedom to me is more important than money. There are lots of other people out there making great money in their careers, but they don’t have any time for their family or themselves,” stated Jeff.

Jeff and Michelle also value giving back in their community. They like to spend their weekends involved in local service activities and have made several donations to the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home, an orphanage near where they live. “This is one of the reasons I encourage all people to get involved with 4Life—either part-time or full-time. When you’ve been blessed in your life, you can reach out to others. It is so important to share the wealth and support people who cannot help themselves.”

Another hobby in their family is music. Michelle is a former professional pianist, and Jeff loves songwriting and playing the drums. He has finished two different albums and recently enjoyed meeting up with his band in the Philippines to record some new songs.

Jeff believes strongly that if you maintain your passion, amazing things can happen. He is grateful for the 4Life opportunity and for the many wonderful things he has experienced while sharing the 4Life philosophy of Together, Building People®.
