Morning (4:30am): We will depart to the municipality of Guasca (Village La Concepcion). This incredible place is located only two hour from Bogota. We will be birding here all the day exploring Paramo, cloud forest at a altitude of aproximadly 2800-3000m.s.n.m. in searching for: Hummingbirds, Coppery-bellied Puffleg, Bronze-tailed Thornbill, Glowing Puffleg, Longuemare´s Sunangel, Blue throated Starfrontlet, Tyrian Metaltail, Sword-billed hummingbird, Mountain Velvetbreast, Great sapphirewing. Endemic Birds: Brown-breasted Parakeet, Silvery-throated Spinetail. Near-Endemic Birds: Blue-throated Starfrontlet, Matorral Tapaculo, Golden-faced Whitestart, Coopery-bellied Puffleg and Black-billed Mountain-Toucan. Other target birds: Andean Siskin, Black-headed Hemispingus, Rufous Antpitta, Noble Snipe, Black backed grosbeak, Rufous Browed Conebill, Eastern Meadowlark, White-chinned Thistletail, Scarlet-bellied Mountain-Tanager, Slaty-backed Chat-Tyrant, Plumbeous Sierra Finch, Black-billed Mountain Toucan and many more birds.

Afternoon: At the end of the morning in Guasca – Vereda la Concepcion, we will move to the municipality La Calera where this is probably the most amazing lodge you can find in around the Bogota for to see the very rare and endemic hummingbirds (45' since Bogota!!!) in eastern andes.
