I am a digital artist who uses soft, flowing images with luminous colors to express concepts andemotions. I express my view of the world e live in through colors and shapes. I prefer softimages with luminous colors that blend seamlessly and apply various techniques to increase theluminosity of my colors. With some of my work a color itself may be the subject but usuallycolor is more important than the forms through which it is expressed.

Most of my pieces start with a basic idea which could be based on something from nature, anobject, song lyrics or just a shape or set of colors. As I work with colors and shapes theprocess of flow takes over and intuition often takes the piece in an entirely different directionfrom where I initially planned it to go. Frequently, after “completing” a work I have newinsights and will create an alternate version which can then take on a life of its own. This canlead to a series of paintings based upon a common theme or starting point. Like most artists,my style is in a continuous state of evolution.

I employ a variety of software tools to create the art on display in this exhibit and am alwayssearching for new tools to create unique effects. Although I started as a traditional artistworking with oil and acrylic paint, I was eventually drawn to digital art because of the freedomand versatility it provides.

In particular it allows me to experiment more freely than I can with a brush on canvas. I canstart with a set of colors or images and move down multiple different paths to reach a desiredresult. I can change or add the colors, the shapes, level of transparency and degree of blending. Ihave full control over the process of creation and am not limited by the physical constraints ofcanvas and paint.

All of the art on display can be produced in different sizes or depths and can be printed oncanvas, metal, acetate or other substances. I also accept commissions to create artwork basedon your input to match the décor in a specific room or evoke a concept or emotion.
