About us
One of our early trips to Florence, Italy
Our first year dating, on a trip to the island
of Capri, Italy
ichelle was born in Florida and Andrea in
Italy. We first met 20 years ago in Italy during
our studies ... and quickly fell in love! After
living in Italy for a few years, we moved to a
great area in New England, nestled between
the city, the lakes,
the mountains, and the sea, where we have
found wonderful friends and dream jobs
teaching college in a place where everybody
smiles and says hello to each passing
stranger. Our commitment to family is strong
... when Andrea’s father passed away 5
years ago, we invited his mother Marisa to
come live with us in the U.S. and she has
been an important part of our immediate
family ever since. We look forward
to raising a child as “the great
adventure of our lives,” and we
know that we can count on family
and friends to help us offer a warm
embrace to a new member of our family!

The thing I admire most about Michelle is her profound honesty, combined with a
great humanity, and a deep sweetness. I trust her entirely and I think she would make
for a wonderful mom. She is also very curious, intelligent, and fun to be around. I
never get tired of talking with her! She is a responsible woman with a fun twist!

Andrea is the kindest and wisest person
I’ve ever known. He is a strong (but gentle),
supportive and kind man. These are the
reasons why I fell in love with Andrea when I
first met him in Italy 20 years ago — and they
remain true to this day. Ever since then, he has
been such a great partner and teammate, not
to mention the love of my life and my very best
friend! Andrea will make a great father.

The beach in our “front yard” in Italy
We live next to a lake with lots of nearby outdoor
recreational activities and also very close to a lovely city with
a children’s museum, parks, and more ... plus we often travel
back to Andrea’s hometown in Italy, to visit his extended family.
Our house there is right across from the beach!

Andrea’s mother, Marisa, lives with us and
we speak both English and Italian at home
and have a sit-down Italian-style family meal
around the dinner table every day. Michelle’s
parents have a small house next door, so they
stay right nearby when they visit. Michelle’s
sister Heather, and her husband, Michael, just
had a baby girl this past year named Addisyn.
We’re all very close!
Above all, our friends are kind and
supportive ... they are also funny and fun-
loving, and we love to get together for big
family-style dinners! Everyone is so excited
for us about our adoption plans!!
