To Whom It May Concern,
It is with great pleasure that I use this letter as a means to introduce myself and convey my interest in a full-time nurse practitioner position at your facility. In May of 2016, I completed the degree of Master of Science in Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner track at Texas Woman’s University (Dallas, TX). Through this program, I have acquired primary care experience in pediatric, obstetric, gynecological, adult, family practice, a specialty concentration in orthopedics settings and advanced health assessment for a total of over 700 clinical experience hours. I became certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program in July of 2016.
As I begin my career as a family nurse practitioner, I hope to continuously expand my knowledge, hone my skills and improve my clinical experience in order to provide high quality health care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable. I have a passion for helping those in need, and I believe that your facility will allow me to positively contribute to the health promotion and disease prevention efforts directed across all populations.
I am very excited to meet with you to discuss how I can contribute to the health care delivery at your facility as a dedicated, progressive, and enthusiastic team member. My resume is enclosed for your review of my education, licensures/certifications, and work experience. Although I am in the beginning of my career, I believe that I am a great candidate/fit for the position at your facility. With that said, I will work hard to support that belief through my actions. You can contact me through my cell phone number or email as listed on my resume. Please let me know if there are any additional questions I can answer for you. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Andrew Thompson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C
