ANGEL FIRE WOULD LIKE TO BECOME AN IMBA RIDE CENTERWhat’s an IMBA ride center? An IMBA ride center is essentially a model trail system recognized for trailsthat support all aspects of mountain biking. We believe that Angel Fire has the potential over the courseof the next 5 years to become one of these amazing riding destinations. Angel Fire Resort has investeda ton in creating the largest bike park in the Rockies. Now it’s time to shift gears and provide an amazingexperience for those who are more up-hill and traditional single-track minded as a means to push theenvelope to the next chapter. With AAFPO’s support in maximizing the experience and expanding thegreenbelt trail system, as well as partnering with the National Forest, there are amazing things on thehorizon in terms of recreational opportunities for mountain bikers, hikers and equestrian users alike. Tolearn more, Patrick Kell (IMBA southwest regional director) will be here June 11th to speak to membersand evaluate the proposed vision that is currently being developed.

Golf Course Updates: We have upgraded the irrigation controllers in the field to allow central control resulting in more efficient use of water and electricity while improving playability. We’re alsoadding two new tees to hole 12, one longer and one shorter. Women and youth will have 100 yards andtournament/pro tee will stretch out to 175. Drainage work continues on holes 7, 15, 16, and 17. Additionally,a couple trees were removed on the left side of hole 18 allowing for more room on the tee shot to alignfor the second, as well as pruning of trees along the right of that hole.

Plan on Golfing this Summer? Complete our easy waiver form now and speed up the processwhen renting a golf cart. You only need to fill out the waiver once and it is good for the entire season!Visit bit.ly/2016GolfWaiver now.
