SHUTTLE LOOM

The Shuttle Loom is a de-

vice used in olden days for

weaving. It contains a bob-

bin of filling yarn which

emerges through a hole in

the side. The shuttle is bat-

tled across the loom and

during this process, it leaves

a trail of the filling at the

rate of about 110 to 225

picks per minute(ppm). This

process is slow & noisy.

SHUTTLE LESS

LOOMS:

Nowdays a many kinds of

Shuttle Less Loom are used

for weaving such as Projec-

tile Looms, Rapier Looms,

Water jet Looms & Air Jet

Looms.

PROJECTILE LOOMS:

It is sometimes called mis-

sile loom as the picking ac-

tion is done by a series of

small bullet like projectiles

which hold the weft yarn

and carry it through the shed

and then return empty. All

the filling yarns are inserted

from the same side of the

loom.

of the warp yarns. The

sizing liquor is applied on

warp yarn with a warp

sizing machine. After the

weaving process the fab-

ric is desized (washed).

Altexbond™ PH40 Acrylic homo

polymer binder for all types of warp

yarn sizing. High tackiness of the prod-

uct improves starch binding power and

also improves tensile strength. It in-

creases cohesiveness of sizemix & act

as moisture regaining agent. Improves

abrasion resistance & act as preserva-

tive in sizemix.

EcoTex™ SL100

Powder type unique one shot products

mainly used for shuttle less loom woven

warp yarns count 100’s to 120’s com-

pact, carded & combed (Cotton,P/V, P/

C), Linen, Modal, 100% polyester. Ab-

sence of PVA & formaldehyde resins

will be useful for sizing of yarns for

easy De-Sizing & for Exports.

Better binding strength will arrest

hairiness which will avoid dropping and

no powder on looms or over the sizing

machine which will increase the weav-

ing efficiency. No Size mark or size

patches.

Usage: Just add required quantity of

Ecotex™ SL100 to water. Cook @130

C for 25 to 30 minutes. Then retain the

cooker for 20 to 30 minutes. The size

mix is ready to use.

the mixture and thus reduce the

time of the valuable technical

It is mainly used for Shuttle Less

& Airjet Loom woven warp yarns

count upto 40’s compact, carded &

combed (Cotton,P/V, P/C), Linen,

Modal, 100% polyester. It gives

very consistent viscosity of

sizemix and concentration from

beginning to the end of the sizing

process.

Usage: Just add required quantity

of EcoTex ™ SL20 to water. Cook

@130 C for 25 to 30 minutes.

Then retain the cooker for 20 to 30
