Power Centers and Strip Malls

Power CenterPower Centers are shopping centers that

consist primarily of collections of big box retail stores, such as discount stores, off-price stores, warehouse clubs, and category specialists.

Unlike traditional strip centers, power centers have few small specialty tenants.

Power Centers are typically located near an enclosed shopping mall.

Strip MallA strip mall is a retail complex consisting of

stores or restaurants in adjacent spaces in one long building, typically having a narrow parking area directly in front of the stores.
