Instructions
Note from the original creatorThis site merely serves as some sort of tutorial on how to use the sheet, as it has gotten quite complicated, and there are some things to point out. If you think you are too tech-pro to read it (like I usually would :P), feel free to skip ahead.
But first of all, many credits here to the guy who created the automatic_excel_char_sheet, and those who helped expand it. --->Obviously alot of the design you find here is directly inspired by this sheet. To be exact, I would never have started this if I didn't see what would be possible with this level flow design. And I would just have taken their sheet and reworkedit, if that wouldn't have been more work then making a completly new one (understanding other peoples formulas and reworking design is no fun). I learned a great deal by analysing their sheet too, namely conditional formating,concatenating (both excessively used now), grouping, selfsorting tables, and some tricks in formulas (but I think that is where I am better now :P)
o You can delete every entry by actually pressing 'Delete' on your keyboard, even if the cell contains a list where no "blank"-entry exists.
o Insert your own values only in fields that are yellow, or yellowish (light brown, orange). Anything grey is not editible, except if you are directly told it is.The color code is:yellowish = input fieldgrey = calculationgreen and violett = output field (but violett is a sum of output values)
o The green output fields represent the sum of every modifier in the questioned value, including not only your spent DP, but also attribute and class boni, and whatever might have influence:
If you want to see how much points you spent yourself, or how exactly that value came to be, just open the Detail Sidetab. It displays all the values' orgin.
o Look out for these little red triangles in the upper right corner of some cells, as they contain hints and explanation directly in the sheet to help out.
o Don't be confused with the Advantage/Disadvantages-Section layout. I know it's not the best, but I couldn't fit anything else in, as the advantages names are just so long sometimes. I would have had to make the whole sheet wider just for that,which means the optics everywhere else would suffer. But here is a little helper:
o All the secondary "+" Marks inside a group of what allready is a "+"-range, are merely there to hide the calculation fields and prevent information overflow. →--- The exception is on the 'Powers'-Tab, where real secondary sub ranges exist, but those are marked by grey boxes ↓
Also, alot of the busy-work was spared for me, because I could so ruthlessly copy their data tables out and reuse them
o !! Do not ever delete a whole range of anything with a range selection:
o There is no error-bot or something similar for the main character creator, and I doubt I or someone else will get to it. That means you have to control yourself to not select silly stuff like the same advantage two times, or the same module.You are also free to break any of the DP limitations that are presented here. They are merely display, but no control.Most importantly: There is also nothing that is tracking the requirements that some abilitys have, so if you aren't cautious, you might end up with an illegal build. Working some lines in for display at least would be a blast.
o Sidenote: The only reason why there is a full Elan section, even though you couldn't by rules have levels on everyone, is the existence of Anna Never. Thanks for keeping the folk busy, Ann.I wanted every NPC or monster to be displayable here, which is the reason for some of the adjustment sliders --- ..We all know NPC's master the powers of hax before anything.
o I will not make a printout myself, because I see no real use in it. Nobody actually prints these out I think, since you need to have your sheets 'editible' by pencil and rubber. And if it is for the oversight summary, well, that is allready implementedif you care to find the sections. The only reason I see is a more pleasant to look at resorting of modules, advantages, Ki Abilities etc., which cannot be summed up of course.I may put that into the "Character Recording" tab later, but am not sure about excels possibilities here.
o This sheet was created on a 1080p widescreen monitor and everything matches those resolution and proportions (for example that from every point, no matter where you scroll to, the horizontal name tags can be visible, so you get never lost).If you should encounter too many difficulties with this, I recommend using the zoom function on the lower right (or ctrl+scroll), as I cannot easily change the format in this state anymore.
Finisho If you encounter any sort of problem like " #N/A " and similar errors, disparities with the rules, something missing: Search for the corresponding thread on cipher-studios.com (the same site as above)I cannot promise anything, but if I or somebody finds the time, this person might see and correct it even quite a time after it is finished.This also applies if you seek to advance or change the sheet by yourself, and you don't understand how something is able to work or what terminologies are used.
o No copyright is claimed, but it will be a problem if you take it and are like "I made dis". You can change and redistribute it on other places as you like, but this is an open source sheet from now on, so nobody has to claim anything about it.

I know it is silly, but you will also select and delete the calculations that arehidden between the lines. But that is how Excel does it I guess.Feel free to use the Ctrl-Selection method though.
Sometimes it is acceptable if there are no hidden lines (check the counter onthe left for consistency), but stay on the safe side if you are not sure.
Should it ever happen, which is an easy mistake to make while unconcentrated,be sure to hit the Undo-Button, even if nothing seems to have changed.
