Population and range

Diet

• Wolves eat ungulates, or large hoofed mammals, like elk, deer, moose and caribou. Wolves are also known to eat beaver, rabbits and other small prey. Wolves are also scavengers and often eat animals that have died due to other causes like starvation and disease.

Why they are endangered

• Wolves were once common throughout all of North America but were killed in most areas of the United States by the mid 1930s

How you can help to help them survive

You could go to Habitat for Humanity and donate, which is pretty much helping all animals, you can convince a friend, or help other good companies which are dedicated to just wolves. (which wolves are awesome BTW)

Why I chose this animal

• Well first of all, wolves are just plain awesome. (he agrees ---)

• Second of all, it’s our school mascot

• And third of all, wolves keep other animals balanced so there are too many bunnies or something in one area where a wolf pack resides.
