District by Society for
animal welfare (SAW)
with the Kind co
operation and guidance

Water tough programme to stray animals in Summer
The idea behind
placing water toughs
is to ensure that birds
and animals have
easy access to a
water source in mid
summer during April
and May. This is the
time that the city’s
temperatures crossed
50* c, and water
availability to animal
is quiet less
Free anti rabies vaccination programme to pet dogs
Free anti rabies
vaccination camp was
conducted to all pet
animals in Khammam
on the eve of zoonosis
day. The camp was
oarganised at Yellandu
cross road. The
programme was
inagurated by Sri.
Posetty, Joint Director
(AH), Khammam.
Besides vaccination
was carried out at door
steps on the next day.
The Kindness Club is a humane
education program for children ages 7-12,
held at Khammam Headquarters. The
program is designed for children who love
pets and have the desire to learn more
about the care of animals. In addition to
lessons on responsible pet ownership, the
children will learn about caring for infant
animals, basic obedience training,
veterinary care for animals, and more!
The goal of Kindness Club is to help the
next generation learn what they can do to
make their homes and communities a
better place for companion animals.

Training to animal Handlers on dog catching
“SAW” have trained
up 40 persons in dog
catching and
awarded training
certificates by Animal
welfare board of
India. These persons
services were utilised
in many districts
such as Krishna,
guntur, Kurnool and
other distircts
ANIMAL RESUCE
Animals those who need in
help was rescued by “SAW”
at 24X7 . We provide
immediate care to those
animals that were sick,
injured and abandoned on
the streets. The injured
animals were kept in
animals shelter till the
animals gain the original
health. SAW attend most of
accident cases around the
clock.
Filing cases against cruelty
SAW files cases
against the persons
who Indulge in cruelty
against animals.
SAW filed many cases
against the truck
drivers, butchers,
illegal cattle traders
and persons who
involves in stray dogs
killing.
Stray dog sterilization and animal Birth controll Programme (ABC)
The only human way to
reduce stray animal
population is Sterilization.
The Stray Dog Sterilization
and Animal Birth controll
programme was taken up
by “SAW” with co-
ordination of Municipalities
and Local bodies. This
programme was started in
Khammam with 50% cost
sharing basis by
Government of India.
