San Bernardino County Museum Exploration Station

Dear Friend,

People love animals. The San Bernardino County Museum fosters this love through our live animal collection. In support of the animals, the museum is hosting a special program—Animals! Animals! Animals!— to be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 10 am to 5 pm.

Perhaps you came to the museum as a child. Perhaps you bring your own children here to learn about the wonders of nature and the lives of animals. Each year, thousands of people visit our Exploration Station for hands-on experences available nowhere else, viewing and handling live reptiles, amphibians, insects, fish and mammals, learning far more about them than they could ever learn from a book. Animals! Animals! Animals! will enhance this experience.

One priority of the museum’s education division is to maintain our collection of live animals. Our animals depend on us for food, water, habitat, grooming, medical care and equipment. This year we are seeking outside funding for the care and feeding of our animals and to continue popular programs, such as Reptilemania, Insectival, and many popular Family Fun Days.

The San Bernardino County Museum Association is the non-profit organization that supports the museum. We urgently need your support to continue to bring these experiences to you and the next generation. Your tax-deductible gift will enable the

museum’s staff to provide the essentials to their live animals. We hope you will consider a gift in your name or in the name of your child, grandchild, friend, or pet.

Please review the attached contribution form. All donations received by Friday, February 17 will be recognized at the Animals! Animals! Animals! program. All others will be listed on our website and in the May/June newsletter. If you need more information about our program, please contact Jolene Redvale at (909) 307-2669 ext. 252 or visit www.sbcountymuseum.gov.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to support the San Bernardino County Museum.

Sincerely,

Robert Christman LaWanda Avery-BrownSBCMA President SBCMA Executive Director
