5 Key Images From The Animatic

After completing the final draft of my animatic I consulted with a few members of my target audience I have identified the five images that stand out most to my audience and why

they remember them. I’m also going to talk about if they were the same images I wanted them to recall after watching

the animatic.

SHOT ONE

• This shot raised a lot of questions to my audience and they wanted to know more about why they were fighting.

• They also said that it made an impact as it was the most action and of gripping part of the animatic.

• This was a part of the animatic that I wanted my audience to remember. I wanted to this to feel tense to my audience and they said this was achieved.

SHOT TWO

• This confused my audience as they didn’t understand why the character was on the screen and what could only be assumed as being watched.

• They wanted to know more about this and what the white lab coat represented, it wasn’t clear that they were scientists.

• This was a part of the animatic that I wanted my audience to raise questions about and when filming the real trailer the mis-en-scene features in this room need to be focused on.

SHOT THREE

• Like I wanted it to this picture made my audience question what was going on.

• However, they said it felt out of place and the need for dialogue to explain both this shot and narrative was really vital in understating the clips.

SHOT FOUR

• My audience said this shot was interesting as it portrayed more of the personality of the character, which helps if they are to relate with them on screen.

• This wasn’t a shot I was expecting them to say, however my audience liked this character and the more darker side he portrayed so in the real cut of the trailer I feel it will be important to express his character on screen.

SHOT FIVE

• My audience said this shot stuck in their head the most as it made them feel almost uncomfortable, uneasy. “What’s going on?”

• This was definitely a shot I wanted them to remember and I want this shit to have a big impact in the final trailer.
