Animation and Drawing | 4.28.16 @BVEdTec Animation and Drawing The Animation and Drawing app was created by Do Ink the makers of the Green Screen App. With Animation and Drawing, use the drawing editor to create individual drawings and combine various elements such as objects and text to make animations. Drawings and animations can be shared via the Gallery within the app and added to the layers within Green Screen. This app can be downloaded on iOS devices. Getting Started 1. Open the Animation and Drawing App. • It will open to the Gallery view. 2. Select the sign to begin a new drawing or composition. Composition Features The Composition Editor allows you to combine artwork along with new props from DO Ink prop library (great for new users). There are 4 primary areas in the Composition Editor: The Upper Toolbar, Canvas, Lower Toolbar and Timeline. Additional features are listed below. 1. Select to open the Chooser. This holds your gallery options. 2. View props from the Animation Gallery. 3. Add photos from the camera roll. 4. Add text. 5. to view a larger editor or to view smaller. 6. Tap to adjust the Composition Properties including title, aspect ratio and background color. 7. The timeline at the bottom controls the start and stop of the drawing. • Notice that once you scroll past the background drawing on the timeline, it will disappear from the canvas. • The app automatically sets the start and stop time for the duration of a clip but this can be adjusted. 1. TabtheStarorChooserandselectthebugclip(tutorial)withintheCompositionEditor.

2. Scrollthroughthetimelinetoseethebugwiggle.

3. Selectthe ontopofthebugtocreateapathforthebugtomove/fly.

4. Resizetheobjectbydraggingthebluecircleinside.5. Aftercreatingyourpath,selectthe icontopreviewyouranimation.

6. Tap toaddapropfromthegallery(thisshouldbeturnedoffforstudentuseasthere

areinappropriateimages).

7. Increasethetimedurationbyselectingtheobjectonthetimelineandthendraggingtheend tothedesiredlength.

8. Adjustthespeedofeachobjectbyselectingtheobjectonthetimelinefollowedby and

thendraggingthedottothedesiredrate.
