ARTIST PROFILE
Roman Genaro Padilla is a self-taught artist who creates ink illustrations that represent different kinds of temptation and encrypted graphisms often found in the dark bloom phase imagery of demons, spiritual entities, elemental beings, magical flora and mythological faunas in medieval manuscript illuminations and woodcuts. His paintings, however, are vividly colored in contrast to his illustrations. Often with saturated bright and psychedelic maximalist patterns full of occult symbols and mesmerizing details encrusted with intriguing yet bizarre visual characters.
