Initial setup of Wi-Free

for Windows 7Follow the steps listed below to set up a PC with Windows 7 for UPC Wi-Free.

STEP 1: Right-click on the Wi-Fi icon

STEP 2: Open Network and Sharing Center

STEP 3: Click on Manage wireless network

STEP 4: Click on Add

STEP 5: Choose Manually create a network profile

STEP 6: Network name is UPC Wi-Free

Choose WPA2-Enterprise security type

Click on Next

STEP 7: Click on Change connection settings

STEP 8: Choose Securitytab

Click on Settings

STEP 9: Remove tick for Validate server certificate

Click on Configure

STEP 10: Remove tick for Automatically use my Windows logon name and password

(and domain if any)

Click on OK

STEP 11: Click on OK

STEP 12: Click on Advanced settings

STEP 13: Tick Specify authentication mode

Choose User authentication

Click Save credentials

STEP 14: Enter your My UPC username (usually your e-mail address) and your

Wi-Free passwordand click on OK

STEP 17: Click on Close

STEP 19: Click on UPC Wi-Free

Click on Connect
