Inspiration.

My Design.

I have created a design of a dress for a spring/summer collection. This outfit is targeted at a young woman, who is a working girl, but loves to go on picnic on the occasional weekend. This dress is a cocktail dress, but instead of the usual Little Black Dress most people would go for, but a violet/pink dress for the braver ones. The dress, being a spring/summer dress, is inspired by flowers, often recognized as being feminine. The specific flower is cherry blossom / sakura . The dress is worn with a simple, thin and elegant belt, but in yellow, to enhance the violet and pink colour on the dress.

Materials• First Layer : Plain Cotton - for

comfort• Under layers : Plain Gauze - for the

‘bouncy’ shape of dress • Next Layer : Plum coloured - to tint

the pink, to make a mix of colours. • Top layer : Strawberry coloured

Thin Cotton - thin, so you can see the plum underneath.
