Role Center A number of Role Centers are being deployed with this version of IDMS 6.05, those are:

Role Center pages contain various pieces, or Web parts, that display information. Each Role Center has its own cues, KPI‘s, quick links, reports and work lists to best suit the needs of each role within the company. The user can personalize it‘s role center for a more focused view.
Users are assigned to Role Centers based on user profiles, which are sets of default information for a specific role in the organization. Each user is assigned to a user profile, and a Role Center is specified for each profile.
Please contact your administrator if you encounter problems with the Role Centers.

CUES
Cues Web parts display Cues, which are visual representations of your workload that display an overview of your work items and other tasks that you need to complete. The Cues are saved filtered views of form or list page information. When you click a Cue, the associated form or list page opens and the filtered view is displayed. Detailed list of cues is in the next chapter.
KPI‘S
The Key Performance Indicators (KPI) gives an overall view of how the company is performing where the performance goal is compared to actual performance. KPI‘s are business metrics that can be summarized in terms of a comparison, goal, value and status.
Depending on how the information was created, drilldown functionality might be included so that you can view more details about the data. If the information is displayed from a cube, the cube will need to be refreshed before the information in the report or KPI will be refreshed.

WORKLIST
The work list is a list of tasks assigned to the user that have been generated by a workflow, such as pending approvals or alerts. You can use this list to view the status of these items and see when action is required.

REPORTS
A number of reports are being deployed with this version of IDMS that are built on the OLAP cubes that are also deployed as part of IDMS 6.05. There are two types of reports. The detail reports are available through menus in Dynamics Ax, while the summary reports are used in the setup of Role Centers.
The summary reports are usually graphic reports that show summarized information about the report data, while the detail reports are set up as matrixes that show the data in much more detail.
A number of steps are necessary to set up and deploy the reports. If this has not already been done, you will receive error messages when opening roles centers and menu items that feature OLAP reports. A detailed list of reports is in the chapter below.

To drill down or up in order to view more or less detail, the user selects the + or – in front of the chosen field.
Master detail report
The master report is opened through a menu in Dynamics Ax.
The detail report is opened by clicking on the underlined field, in this instance, the name of the Item minor group. The detail report opens in the same window as the master report.
In order for the field to be underlined, and the detail report to work correctly, the user must first chose a particular Site and Warehouse and clicks View Report. It is not possible to view a detail report for All sites and/or All warehouses.

The detail report opens in a new window so that the user can view both master and detail reports at once.
Refreshing of reports previously opened in the current session
When opening the reports the default behaviour is that the parameter values for each report are set to the default value as defined in the report specification. If the logged-on user has not opened the report in the current Dynamics Ax session, the report is refreshed. If the report has been opened earlier in the user’s session, it open with the last chosen parameters and refreshes according to those parameters.

BI report displaying productivity by work center. A drill through report is available which displays the productivity of individual cases. The user must first run the report for a particular Case group parameter and then drill down to a particular work center and month before clicking on the Standard Hours value to display the drill through report.
