Introduction 6Plan of the village 7 - 9
Chandolin is popular. Without a doubt... Is it be-cause of its altitude that allows to almost touch the sky, and making it one of the highest inhabited vil-lages in Europe ? Is it because of its location on the edge of the pines and larches bathed in the evening by the last rays of the sun when it bows out on the horizon ? Or for that “ je ne sais quoi ” that makes Chandolin the muse of poets, the stop for travellers and a hideaway for illustrious guests ?
Speaking of this little village perched on the moun-tain, the small town she loved so much, Corinna Bille, wrote in her novel “ Chandolin entre deux abîmes ” ...
... “ Two thousand meters. A village clings to the slope, a little grass, a source of water for the thirsty, a forest to stop the avalanche. That’s it. The land of nothing, of emptiness. Then we find (in contrast to the easy countries where dust waits under the palm trees), that this is a land of great wealth. Here it is impossible to stop, here equilibrium is abolished, and even the sweetness is violent. To live we must walk, climb, descend and ascend. But the air is present, air that you can touch, that you see, that has form, colour and odour, that gives a new rhythm to our blood, and gives our soul a new intensity. There is more than the earth itself, for here the earth ends. ”

Health, wellness and beauty
If you are sporty, curious and enjoy listening each time you hear people talking about local traditions and customs, if you like to imagine reliving the past when you see an old mill turning, if you like walking in cobbled streets between stone and larch houses that are hundreds of years old, do not miss the opportunity to take a walk through Grimentz. This village is precisely the place for those who like to dream about the past.
After a good day of outdoor sports, give yourself a « culture » break. While walking along the Rue du Vieux Village, you will cross through time. You can read the history of these old family houses and barns called « raccards ». You will learn of their ancestral customs sipping a glass of « Glacier » wine straight out of the barrel. You will be amazed by the rituals that have been passed down from gene-ration to generation, and you will see with pleasure that Grimentz is inhabited by people with a sturdy mountain character, who know how to be hospitable! Their heritage is their pride, their jewel. They are ready and willing to share it with you, generously ...

Imagine a large balcony comfortably in the line of sight of the Matterhorn and all its impressive sur-roundings... Imagine this same balcony flooded with sunshine so insistent that no one could dare resist ... Imagine a balcony on which it is allowed to escape at will and where you can let yourself be seduced by the density and energy of the surroundings, the sym-phony of colours and the smells of the wilderness. Imagine that this place really exists. This balcony is St-Luc.
St-Luc is where the charm of the past mixes with the healthy excitement of life in the mountains. St-Luc is the geographical and astronomical centreof the Valais. In St-Luc, when one walks on the Path of the Planets, one is between heaven and earth. We take in the real dimensions of our solarsystem, where the planets are aligned respecting the scale, magnitudes and distances. And if you are lucky enough to get a look through the telescope, you can almost touch the stars. St-Luc is all that ... and more. But instead, why not come and see for yourself ...

Health, wellness and beauty
Situated at the end of the Val d’Anniviers, in a place of calm and serenity, Zinal is a kind of ” ultimate destination “. In those magical places where you can not go any further, there is a paradoxical feeling that this is where everything begins ; a little like landing in another world. At the foot of the highest moun-tains of the Alps, a small village has retained the power that propels toward the heights, to make us look up in admiration. When one enters, there can be no doubt, this is the white heaven of Zinal.
Those who believe that after a week in Zinal we return to earth more tired than when we arrived are wrong. It is true rest and peace of mind that visi-tors find here ! When you have lived these moments, breathing in the fresh air, you know that you no longer can do without it, and that this brief pause has become required annual parenthesis.

Health, wellness and beauty
Niouc, les Pontis, Soussillon the Barmes, Fang ... strange names that titillate the curiosity and stand witness to a past full of history, a picturesque back-ground that leaves no one indifferent. But the winter for the people who live here represents a time of rest: not a shadow of a skier, not a single lift pylon and no sports frenzy either. Just the silence of nature, which is also on its annual break. A welcome rest before the return of spring, and before the ruins, chapels, caves, and mills begin to reveal their charms to greet the lucky ones who know how to find authen-ticity where it is.
Vissoie … To those who believe that Vissoie is a place of passage, a simple step that can reach the Anniviers ski resorts, we propose to come and make a stop ... Located in the centre of the Val d’Anniviers, a strategic crossroads where lords made their home beginning in the 13th century, Vissoie is the medieval village of the valley. Take some time and make a stop there, go take a look at the medieval tower that reflects the ancient supremacy of the village, order a coffee on a sunny terrace and let yourself soak in the atmosphere of the place. You will soon realize that Vissoie, tucked away from the bustle of the resorts in the valley, has kept the charm of a place that must be seen.
