True Mother Speaks at the World Summit 2020

Thank you very much, respected heads of state, dignitaries from home and abroad, ladies and gentlemen, I wish to welcome you all to World Summit 2020. We have gathered

here because we are all truly Peace-Loving Citizens.

Peace cannot be realized by a single individual or a single nation. When we look at the situation in today’s world, there are over 200 nations and they all have a common hope which is the realization of lasting peace. If all the nations of the world could unite for the sake of peace, many of today’s challenges could be resolved. However, when we look at the 6000-year-old history of humanity, it has a history filled with many challenges: the barriers of religion; ethnicity; ideology; national boundaries; and various other challenges and boundaries that have been afflicting human flourishing. Furthermore, we can see that self-centeredness, selfishness has been greatly affecting not just the happiness of human beings but even the environment, the beautiful earth in which we live. Therefore, we live in a time which is difficult to see a bright future for humanity. Faced with these challenges, what should we do?

It is not through man made ideologies or thoughts that unity can be realized. It is over 70 years since the founding of the united nations. However, there's not been a time when all nations could place a common objective above national interests. And when you look at this one example, we can see that in order to solve the various challenges afflicting humanity today, the first step to take is to properly understand God, His essence.

God had an ideal, a dream, God created heaven and earth in His image, and lastly God created a man and a woman as the first human ancestors. And to the first human ancestors God gave a commandment to grow virtuously until they grow beautifully and could reach maturity. This was Gods original ideal.
