Notes of Sympathy• The family of Trudy Barker whose father,
Joseph Clark Clonch, passed away.
Dear Church Family, Welcome to Bible Center! We are
grateful that you are here. Thank you for joining us as we approach our Lord together, seek His help, and desire to
reflect His life. We want you to have an encouraging experience with us.
Through the years, I have had the privilege of visiting people in their homes. It’s amazing how much you can learn about a
person just by visiting their home! What is important to them will show up big and be evident. The pictures in the home are worth a thousand words of telling who and what is important. The garage, living space, and man cave are often filled with what is deemed valuable for that family. Our values show up in how we live. They actually drive how we live the way we do. Why are we living like this?
Correspondingly, churches base their behavior upon what they deem most valuable. What they identify as their core values drives the nature of ministry. To become acquainted with
what a church values is to understand what makes them tick and why. Today, we begin a preaching series celebrating what makes us Bible Center Church. Our core values are on display over the next six weeks. They forge the culture we share and enjoy at Bible Center.
This morning, we start with the name of our church—Bible Center. It explains a lot about who we are as God’s people in Charleston! I am glad you are here to participate as we display our values. Our values are how we roll!
Keep Going,
Eric MountsSenior Pastor

SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2015
We are spending six Sundays celebrating our values as a church. What a church values most governs how it orders its ministry. Every church is unique. At Bible Center, there are a set of values that explain us and our ministry. They are what we hold dear and,
next to our mission, expose our DNA as a church. Our values are rooted in the Scripture and a vision God has for His
church. These Sundays in June and early July will afford us the opportunity to cash in on a
fresh glimpse of our values, as we roll up our sleeves in a new effort
to do mission and be the church that God
has uniquely designed for
us to be.
