ANNOUNCEMENTS October 29, 2017 It’s not too late to complete the “Called to Serve” Ministry Form. We plan to review them next week, so be sure you fill one out and submit it on Sunday. L.I.F.E GROUPS WINTER – January 2018 marks the launching of a brand new and exciting season of EBC L.I.F.E Groups, and we want to personally thank you for giving PRAYERFUL Consideration to this ministry (Info sheet was distributed last Sunday). Do not miss this wonderful opportunity to be connected to the vision and mission of the church and at the same time deepen your relationship with the Lord. Hallelujah Night Treats: If you are interested in donating treats for Hallelujah night, please be sure they are NUT-FREE and free of Halloween Symbols. Please place your donations in the labelled box in the foyer. Wanna help and be a part of our team?!?! It's always a blast running games and activities and seeing the joy and fun the kids are having. Please Contact Ms. Erin at [email protected] or 902- 430-8201 EBC Mission Trip to Santa Ana, Ecuador Next summer, a team will be traveling to Santa Ana Ecuador to witness first-hand how our church is changing the lives and future of all of the children we sponsor. Sunday, November 26 th there will be a pizza sale in the foyer after church all proceeds going to this amazing trip. Please bring your appetite and support our missions team in their fundraising efforts. Operation Christmas Child – The final Sunday to return your Operation Christmas Child Shoebox is November 12 th . Please help us spread the word. Saturday, October 28 th @ 8:30am – 10:30am – The African United Baptist Association (AUBA) in partnership with Sobeys will be hosting several fundraising breakfasts in HRM and Truro. All Monies raised will be forwarded to assist in the recovery efforts in Puerto Rico and other Caribbean islands impacted by recent hurricanes. Please assist by purchasing a breakfast ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Tuesday, October 31 st @ 6:00pm – Mark your calendars and prepare to join us as EBC hosts "Hallelujah Night" (a Christian alternative to Halloween). We will begin in the sanctuary at 6pm. It will be an evening of fun for the whole family including pizza, games, face painting, prizes, and of course, candy! Be sure to RSVP by signing up on Sundays after church in the foyer, or by calling the church office! Wednesday, November 1 st @ 6:30pm – WOW will be cancelled. Please plan to attend the following week! Friday, November 3rd @ 7:00pm – There will be a Corporate Night of Prayer in EBC Sanctuary. All are welcome! Sunday, November 5 th – Please remember Daylight Savings Time ends November 5 th . Please remember to set your clocks back. Monday, November 6 th @ 7:00pm EBC Men’s Fellowship will take place in the Fellowship Hall. All men are welcome to attend. Saturday, November 11 th @ 10:40am – The Greater Hammonds Plain– Lucasville Remembrance Day Observance will take place at the Community Cenotaph located on the Uplands Common at the corner of Hammonds Plains Road and Crestfield Drive. Sunday, November 12 th @ 11:00am – Baptism & Baby Dedication Service will take place here at Emmanuel. All are welcome. Sunday, November 26 th @ 3:00pm – Gibson Woods United Baptist Church will be holding a “Service of Thanksgiving” for the installation of our Deacon Elect: Brother Craig Gibson.” Rev. Elias Mutale will be the guest Speaker. Everyone welcome; refreshments following the service. Friday, May 4 th – Sunday, May 6 th , 2018 – The EBC Women's Advance Planning Committee is in the process of planning the 5 th Annual Women's Advance 2018. This is a Save The Date notice for the Sisters of EBC: Theme: "VICTORIOUS". Place: Bayside Camp -1503 Ketch Harbour Road.
