Chairperson’s Report

Dear Members,

Greetings from ISTD, Pune Chapter

I hereby submit the Annual Report along with the audited financial statements for

the financial year ended March 31, 2018. The consolidated performance of Pune

Chapter is also submitted.

As far as the activities of Pune Chapter are considered, we can divide the year in two

parts. The reason; as you are aware; is that the last AGM took place on 29th October

2017. After the AGM the new committee took over. So, though the audited accounts

are for the financial year 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2018, the activity report is for

the five months i.e. from 30th October 2017 to 30th March 2018. These activities had

been possible due to the support of all the office bearers, the members of Managing

Committee, the members of National Council and the members of Advisory

Committee.

Till date four Managing Committee Meetings were held.

I am happy to inform you that, during our tenure of six months we could conduct

two open programs and three inhouse programs. We could increase the awareness

about and also could promote ISTD, ISTD Diploma and Pune Chapter through our

representation at various platforms.

The Diploma Contact classes and the examinations took place smoothly under the

leadership of the diploma incharge Mr. R. G. Shukla.

In this period of six months Pune Chapter joined hands with four Management

Institutes as the Knowledge Partner through MOU. These institutes extended their

support by offering the venue for our Managing Committee meetings and The

Foundation Day program. We specially thank the Directors and the faculties of these

Institutes.

I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all of you for your continuous

support.

Programs

Inhouse Programs

1. ‘Marching Towards Professionalism - Campus To Corporate’ - Dec. 18, 19, 20-

For the 111 students of Ekalavya Polytechnic. Coordinated by Kirti Ramdasi. The program

was inaugurated by Dr. Mohan Uchgaonkar, the NC Member and the Valedictory programme

was graced by Mr. Y. K. Upadhyay. Dr. Rashmi Hebalkar, Ms.Simantini Bhawsar, Mr. Brij

Mishra, Ms. Kirti Ramdasi contributed as the faculty.

2. Entrepreneurship Development Program - February 21, 22, 26, 2018 . For 77

students of Ekalavya Polytechnic. Coordinated by Kirti Ramdasi. The program was

inaugurated by Mr.Yogesh Shinde, an entrepreneur and by Mr. Arvind Navadikar; Member

of Advisory Committee. The valedictory progrsm was graced by Mr. Prashant Bendre(NC

Member) and Mr. Charudatta Bhave( MC Member)

The faculties were the entrepreneurs selected by Kirti Ramdasi.

3. ‘Marching Towards Professionalism - Campus To Corporate’ - April 17 and 18,

2018 One and a Half Day Program was conducted for MBA students of Hiraben Nanavati

Institute of Management and Research. Dr. Rashmi Hebalkar, Ms. Simantini Bhawsar and

Mr. Brij Mishra contributed as the faculty.

Open Programs

1. Neuro Linguistic Programming(NLP) - Jan 10, 2018. The chairperson Dr. Rashmi

Hebalkar inaugurated the program . Vice chairperson Ms. Simantini Bhawsar coordinated the

program. Facuty was Ms. Manjiri Latey

2. Management. Games and Exercises - Jan 17, 2018. The program was inaugurated

by Dr. S.G. Bapat( NC Member). The chairperson Dr. Rashmi Hebalkar coordinated the

program.

The faculties were Dr. Rashmi Hebalkar, Mr. S. G. Apte (Member of Advisory Committee)

and Mr. R. R. Baviskar( MC and NC Member)

Representation of Pune Chapter

Representation of Pune Chapter at MCCIA HR Forum Meet was done in Nov. & Dec.2017 and January to March 2018. ISTD Pune Chapter’s activities, proposed training

programmes and ISTD Diploma was promoted through presentation and brochures.

Pune Chapter hosted the Meeting of ‘MCCIA-NIPM-ISTD HR Forum on Wednesday 31

st January 2018 at MCCIA Trade Tower, S. B. Road, Pune 411 016.

Panel Discussion was organized on the topic

‘Training and Development: A catalyst to Change Management’ The Panel Coordinator was Mr. Milind Mutalik, V.P.- H.R.DBL Food Limited (Mothers

Receipe). Panel Members were Ms. Manisha Tapaswi. G. M.- H.R.( Global Head, HR

Operations) and Dr. S. G. Bapat, Management Consultant.(NC Member Pune Chapter)

Dr. Rashmi Hebalkar and Dr. Mohan Uchgaonkar represented Pune Chapter at the

International Conference on "Managing the Global Glut" at Hiraben Nanavati Institute of

Management and Research on 16th

and 17th

February 2018 respectively.

ISTD Pune Chapter was invited by Institute of Management and Career Courses for

HR Meet on April 27, 2018. Dr. Rashmi Hebalkar, Ms Simantini Bhawsar, Mr. Ramchandra

Shukla attended the meet.

Dr. Rashmi Hebalkar was invited as a member of Advisory Committee for the

Industry – Institute Meet and Industry awards by Hiraben Nanavati Institute of Management

and Research. She attended the Advisory Committee Meeting on March 27. She attended the

Award function on April 23, 2018. The Industry – Institute Meet and Industry Awards was

held in association with ISTD Pune Chapter, ODSER Charitable Trust and NIPM Pune

Chapter.

Dr. Mohan Uchgaonkar (NC Member) and Mr. Naresh Kumar Pinisetti(NC Member)

were the panellists at the Panel discussions held at this occasion. Mr. Ramchandra Shukla,

Dr. Satyen Chandak, Mr. Charudatta Bhave of Pune Chapter were also present.

ISTD Diploma in Training And Development

Promotion

Diploma was promoted by giving Brochures and posters to various educational

institutions’ authorities like Indira Institute (5-6 Locations), Mararthwada Institues (5

Locations), Amity Institute, TMTC etc.

Diploma Examinations at Pune Chapter:

Diploma examinations were smoothly conducted at December end(2017) under the

leadership of the Diploma Incharge Mr. Ramchandra Shukla. Few office bearers and few

MC-NC members supported by doing invigilation.

At the Diploma examinations held in December 2017, Pune Chapter student of 77 batch, Dr.

Prashant Kalaskar stood first at all India level in Paper II HRD and won the cash prize of

Rs. 1,000 and a Certificate of Merit.

Pune Chapter was recognized with Rs. 1,00,000/- as an award for the admissions above

25 in the diploma batch 77. Congratulations Mr. Pankaj Pradeep, his team and ISTD

Pune Chapter.

Contact classes at Pune Chapter of ISTD Diploma batch No.77 & 78 started on February 25,

2018 at Naralkar Institute. Dr. V.S Kaveri, the Retired Professor and Dean,(NIBM) was the

Chief Guest at Inauguration of 78th

batch.
