Dear Friends and Supporters of Freedom Alliance:When you contribute to Freedom Alliance, you are investing in one of the most dynamic and effective organizations in America. Our accomplishments are such that we want to put them on paper and share them with the great Americans who make it all possible.

That’s the first and most important reason we’re providing this Investment Report to you – to say “Thank You!” for the help you so generously provide and the faith you show in our dedicated team.

You may be surprised at just how much we did for our troops and military families this past year. We hosted recreational therapy events, provided financial grants to hospitalized heroes, awarded college scholarships to the children of fallen patriots, and sent our Gifts From Home care packages to the troops deployed overseas. We even awarded two refurbished homes to outstanding military heroes.

In short, Freedom Alliance provided record levels of support. More important, however, is the deep and personal impact we made with individuals who need to know that their service and sacrifice to our country is appreciated. Here on the home front, Freedom Alliance saved lives and helped to keep military families together.

Yet, more needs to be done to save America’s soul. More than ever, we need citizens who understand that liberty is a gift from God and we have a responsibility to pass it along to our children. That’s why our programs honor and encourage military service, defend the sovereignty of the United States, and promote a strong national defense. We honor America’s heroes and celebrate her heritage.

Every day we meet men and women who’ve shown unmistakable heroism and made undeniable sacrifices. They do it for a country they love and for which we will all keep fighting.

The achievements of our dedicated staff are detailed in the pages that follow. We are proud to present our Investment Report to you, and we thank you for making these many accomplishments possible.

Scholarship Fundfor the Children of Military Heroes

This year, Freedom Alliance awarded scholarships to a record number 277 students, and in so doing, we honored each of their parents who served our country. We also provided more support than ever before in our history – over $1.3 million in scholarship assistance in 2013 alone to the children of heroes. What an honor it is for us to support these outstanding young men and women who know better than anybody the sacrifice required to keep America a great nation.

Gifts from Home Care Packages

Support Our Troops

They’re far from home in a dangerous environment. They don’t have access to a corner drug store and they need our help.

They are fellow Americans and Freedom Alliance reminds them that we care – even when the war is no longer in the headlines. In 2013, we shipped more than 1,300 Gifts From Home care packages to American troops who are still in Afghanistan. Even though the

number of troops has been reduced, they need our help as much as ever.

In the last four years, Freedom Alliance has sent more than 10,000 care packages to troops in the field. These packages are filled with fresh socks, new sunglasses, sunscreen, a box of candy and many other treats and necessities.

H H H H H H H H H H H H H

I wanted to let you know that my husband and his unit greatly appreciate all that you have shipped to them…and how grateful the Soldiers are, and to let you know that the mission is coming to an end - YIPPEE!”

I want you to know that the packages have really made a lot of people happy…and makes everyone feel appreciated…I hope the people who put them together know that we appreciate them.”

Just wanted to say thank you again for thinking of us here in Afghanistan.”

Heroes to Homeowners

Annual Investment Report Page 6

In 2013, Freedom Alliance saw a chance to help wounded heroes realize the American Dream of home ownership. We seized that opportunity and today two young Americans who were wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq are the proud owners of beautifully remodeled homes.

Justin Utecht – Minnetonka, MinnesotaJustin is an Iraq war veteran who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress and chronic pain. On Veterans Day Weekend, Freedom Alliance presented Justin with the key to his very own house where he will live with his daughter. “I’m thoroughly grateful,” Justin said, “but it means even more to me that veterans are being recognized.”

Justin decided to join the Army while he was a Junior in high school. He said he wanted a job “that would allow me to make a difference.” His first duty station was Fort Stewart, Georgia where he was assigned to the 293rd MP Company. From there he was deployed to Iraq and participated in over 100 combat patrols and raids. Justin experienced countless firefights and survived ten IED blasts. He and his unit served a security detail at Saddam Hussein’s trial.

In a moving moment at the presentation of his home, he gave a tribute to his friends and fellow Soldiers who did not make it home. “The real heroes aren’t here…I have friends who died. They are the real heroes.”

Ross Adcock – Ventura, CaliforniaOn July 31, Freedom Alliance, along with our partners at U.S. Bank and Five Brothers, welcomed Ross Adcock back to Ventura, California, the community in which he grew up, and presented this beautiful home to have as his own. “This area is my home and it’s great to be back home,” he said.

Ross was an Automated Logistical Specialist who served for five years in the United States Army. While he was deployed to Afghanistan, he was hit by an IED and

endured painful injuries to his knees and back. He also suffers from Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury. During his twelve months in Afghanistan, Ross drove in hundreds of conveys that were repeatedly attacked by enemy IEDs.

Ross’s fiancé and their daughter Jaylynn joined him at the home presentation. He is taking business courses at a local college and said having the home relieves a great deal of stress for him. “Now I can focus on my health and my family,” he said. “This presents us with opportunities we would never have otherwise and we’re grateful for that.”

Freedom Alliance reaches thousands of troops through hundreds of events each year. We honor those who serve our country and provide help to those who are hurting as a result of injured sustained in combat or training.

With our Outdoor Adventures, Troop Appreciation Dinners, Heroes Vacations and Recreational Rehabilitation and more, Freedom Alliance impacted the lives of thousands of military families in 2013. Here are just a few of the events we hosted for our troops.

We wouldn’t have been able to have them without you.”

Presents for Patriots is our effort to help military families who are struggling during the Christmas holiday. We want to ensure that no child of an injured hero is left wondering why she was forgotten by Santa on Christmas morning.

Freedom Alliance instituted this project in 2010 by helping 20 families in need. Since then, the growth has been staggering. This past year, we brought Christmas joy to 104 families across the country – more than 450 heroes, spouses and their children.

Just look at how much this great program has grown since its inception and then let us introduce you to just a few of the outstanding families who we were honored to help this holiday season.

Capital Projectsto Support Wounded Troops

This year Freedom Alliance completed an addition to Camp Lejeune’s state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility. It is one of several projects completed in recent years to provide long-term help to injured troops. We extend a special thanks to the Hatton Foundation for helping us make these projects possible.

H H H H H H H H H H H H H

Kayak Launch at Camp LejeuneKayaking is a popular activity for injured Marines, but prior to the completion of this project, Marines had to travel long distances to find a safe entry point into the river. The project includes a 9-foot wide concrete trail for troops with wheelchairs or prosthetics; a stable and safe dock and a specialized, EZ Kayak Launch for safe entry and exit of the water.

Improved Recreation Centers at Fort Knox, Fort Benning, and Fort GordonFreedom Alliance donated equipment to upgrade the recreation centers at Fort Knox, Fort Benning and Fort Gordon. Improvements included audio visual equipment, pool tables, laptop computers, new carpeting, barbecue grills, video games and many other items.

Cycling and Scuba Equipment for Fort Jackson, Fort Bliss, Fort Gordon, and Fort Knox

Freedom Alliance donated specially outfitted bicycles and equipment to the Wounded Warrior Battalions at Fort Jackson in South Carolina and Fort Bliss in Texas. Scuba equipment was donated to Fort Gordon and Fort Knox for the adaptive sports programs at each of these facilities allowing troops to participate in events that otherwise wouldn’t be possible.

Tennis Courts and Therapeutic Courtyard at Charlie Norwood VA HospitalFreedom Alliance, along with Sport Court and the USTA installed new tennis courts with safety features and high shock-absorption for amputees. We also constructed a courtyard uniquely designed with a variety of terrains – gravel, sand, grass, concrete, inclines and declines – to train amputees on their new prosthetics. The courtyard also features a therapeutic rock-climbing wall. This facility also received weight-training and custom rehab equipment from Freedom Alliance.

Military LeadershipAcademy

Freedom Alliance trains students to believe in the opportunity America offers and the obligation each of us has to use our God-given talents to make our country and her communities better. Since its inception, the Military Leadership Academy (MLA) has trained nearly 1,500 high school students.

Our 2013 MLA took place at Fort Indiantown Gap which serves as the Training Center for the Pennsylvania National Guard. Highlights of our MLA sessions include:

3 Marksmanship training on an actual Army weapons simulator.

3 Martial arts demonstration at the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program.

3 A two-day Field Training Exercise (FTX).

3 Cadets lived and trained alongside America’s service members and gained new appreciation for military service.

3 Learned Land Navigation skills and completed a grueling 4-mile ruck march.

The education of our Cadets is another important component of MLA training, particularly in the areas of American history and military heritage. Below are some of the activities that took place during field trips:

3 Visited the National Archives to view our nation’s founding documents.

3 Received a private tour of the National Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, Virginia.

3 Explored Gettysburg National Battlefield.

3 Toured monuments in the nation’s capital including the World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

The Military Leadership Academy was the hardest and best experience I have gone through so far in my 17 years.”

- Cadet Jake Rego

“Our Instructor Corps is second to none and key to the success of the program. Freedom Alliance recruits the nation’s finest ROTC cadets as Academy Instructors and relies on them to plan and implement a fast-paced and challenging two-week program.

They help us prepare our MLA graduates to set their goals higher and accept tougher challenges. Many do just that when they make the choice and commitment to serve our nation in uniform. There are currently 42 MLA Cadets and Instructors in the Armed Forces. Thank you for serving our country!

Army-Navy WeekendArmy-Navy is a great Freedom Alliance tradition in which our guests hear from amazing Americans who’ve served our country in uniform or high political office. During the conference portion of the program we highlight issues of importance and hear from the nation’s leading experts. Here are some of this year’s speakers:

Center forSovereignty & Security

This year, Freedom Alliance continued our practice of educating the public and opinion leaders on issues related to national sovereignty, national security and constitutional government. We do this in order to create a more informed and engaged citizenry which is vital to the health of our Republic. We had a strong year with an aggressive program agenda. Some of our efforts included:

3 Protecting Religious Liberty: Barack Obama’s hostility to religion requires us to fight his administration’s attempts to undermine military chaplains and Christian service members.

3 Preventing Unilateral Disarmament: Obama is determined to get rid of America’s nuclear weapons, but we’re fighting any policy that would leave Russia with a nuclear advantage.

3 Preserving U.S. Sovereignty: we have prevented dangerous international agreements like the Law of the Sea Treaty and others from being ratified by the U.S. Senate.

3 Keeping a Strong Military: Freedom Alliance is leading the effort to show just how much damage Obama’s policies are doing to the strength and readiness of our military.

Freedom Alliance uncovers threats to our sovereignty and security that are overlooked by lawmakers and the media. We work in coalitions, provide analysis and commentary on television, radio and published reports. We present our findings to lawmakers and the public through media appearance and grassroots communications. Here is more of what we accomplished in 2013:

3 Colonel North’s newspapers columns were published on hundreds of Internet sites and newspapers around the country and world-wide.

3 Heard on the Hill: Freedom Alliance voiced your concerns with 200,000 petitions to Congress on issues like nuclear deterrence, IRS harassment and the Benghazi cover-up.

3 Freedom Alliance works with our coalition partners to prevent social engineering in the military.

3 We conducted briefings on Capitol Hill about threats to our national sovereignty and the rampant anti-Americanism at the United Nations.
