COURSE DESCRIPTION e use of robotic technology in Pediatric Urology has been steadily evolving since its early adaptation in 2000. It is now a part of standard armamentarium in Adult Urology, and Pediatric Urology is following the trend. is educational initiative is intended to educate and transfer the techniques and technologies of the robotic system to Pediatric Urology fellows and practicing Pediatric Urologists for effective and safe use in clinical practice settings. COURSE DESCRIPTION

The use of robotic technology in Pediatric Urology has been steadily evolving since its early adaptation in 2000. It is now a part of standard armamentarium in Adult Urology, and Pediatric Urology is following the trend. This educational initiative is intended to educate and transfer the techniques and technologies of the robotic system to Pediatric Urology fellows and practicing Pediatric Urologists for effective and safe use in clinical practice settings.

EDUCATIONAL NEEDS

The use of robotic technology in the pediatric population is slowly increasing due to its advantages over the conventional surgery in terms of recovery and reduced need of postoperative pain medication. This technology needs to be learned in a systematic way for its safe application, patient selection and improved pediatric patient outcomes.
