Domestic Violence Act: Analysis and Interaction
Action plan was drawn at the beginning of the academic year to identify programmes to be conducted by all the departments, cells and committees for quality sustenance and development.
Youth Red Cross Society has organized “Red Cross Day”
The College IQAC monitors and coordinates the planning and implementation of curricular, co-curricular activities like teaching – learning evaluation.
The IQAC arranged guest lectures, Quiz programme and coordinate the functioning of different committees like internal examination committee and Orientation committee etc.

Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka introduced programs like Hosahejje and Aapthamithra, Sahayoga programme for students to learn about the basics of compuers. Our college has taken initiation in implementing all these projects and reach out to students in achieving excellence in all spheres of their education and life.

The Davanagere University has done computerization of the entire examinations systems.
The mark statements, hall tickets, processing of examination application forms, allocation of register numbers and seating arrangement have been computerized.
All the college Teachers will take part in evaluation process. Results will be
declared within 30 days on university website. Re-evaluation and Re-counting of
marks will be made available by university.

It is compulsory for Teachers to attend Orientation Programme and
Refresher Course. Teachers are supported to attend
Symposiums/Workshops/Conferences etc., for their academic development.
Green plantation is made in the college campus. NSS wing, Scouts and Guide
wing conducts weekly programme to make campus cleaning, supply of water to
plants. Awareness is given about the usage of plastic.
During the admission process of students, college will distribute Brochure containing
programmes available in the college to all students, so that students can opt for
their interested programme. Also students are informed the co-curricular activities
available. List of students who obtained Rank in different years was displayed. Prizes
won by students in Sports also kept displayed in Sports room.

Environment in the campus and out of campus.
NSS volunteers are actively participated throughout the year in regular
activities including Special camp. Also maintained green garden in the midst
and outside the college premises.
All National Festivals like Independence day, Republic day, Gandhi Jayanti,
Ambedkar Jayanti, Kanaka Jayanti, Valmiki Jayanti etc, were celebrated

Student feedback will determine standards and Benchmarking on teaching quality and facility available in the college. Unit evaluation applied standards will provide a basis for benchmarking in unit, program quality, assurance & review processes. The standards will take into account for known contextual factors.
Student, teacher, parent, public survey results were aggregated at different levels, including
individual, unit, discipline, department, faculty, program and University. The appropriate level of aggregation for reporting of feedback survey results depends on the specific purpose(s) of the particular rating or criteria used.

The policy and procedures used in the collection, analysis, reporting and use of student/other stake holder feedback provide a foundation for embedding into a continuous cycle of quality enhancement at individual, unit, program, department, faculty and University levels. Student feedback is used for recognition and rewards applications, but these purposes are secondary to quality enhancement. Some of the poor and satisfactory feedback is utilized in faculty and department’s systematic learning and teaching evaluation plan in formal and informal approaches. The criteria’s key factors and questions focused, comprehensive, consistent and improvement oriented, addressing the various levels and key questions. The answers to these questions will provided an important foundation for improving the quality of teaching and student achievement in college. The Institutional audit committee is guided the teachers- student centric programs of learning that address agreed curriculum standards and employ contemporary learning resources and activities. Each student engaged in rigorous and stimulating programs of learning that meet their individual needs and prepare them for success in modern national/global education scenario. Students and teachers routinely collaborate, build and share knowledge using digital technologies – blogs, file sharing, social networking, and EDU sat conferencing. Students and teachers are able to innovate in their use of ICT to achieve learning outcomes.
The institutional Assessment and Audit committee regularly monitors with evidence and proper guidance on enhancing the quality of teaching and student performance. Regular interaction of such meetings are conducted at the departmental level so as to have a better rapport with the parents and other stakeholders.
The feedback research evidence is clears, creative individual given great feedback, and every
teacher is capable of giving more effective feedback.
However, feedback is only one part of the equation. It is not a substitute or remedy for poor teaching.

THEME: Domestic Violence Act: Analysis and Interaction On the occasion of International Women Day, a special Lecture on Domestic Violence Act: Analysis and Interaction was conducted jointly by WEC and co-curricular activity cells on 08.03.2014 under the president ship of Prof. K B Venkataramana Reddy, Principal, GFGC, Hosadurga. What is domestic violence?
Any kind of abusive behavior by your husband or male partner or their relatives (includes male and female relatives). It need not be physical abuse. It could also be verbal, emotional, sexual or economic abuse.
If you are a victim of domestic violence, what can you do?
This is a special law focused on victims and giving them relief from domestic violence. You can file an application under this law. This does not stop you from seeking other civil or criminal action against the offenders.
Who are the different authorities you can approach under this law?
As a victim, you can approach either the ‘Protection Officer’ or the ‘Service Provider’ under this law. You can also approach the police or a Magistrate directly. This is a database of all Registered Protection Officers and Service Providers across India.
What can you expect from the courts when you file a complaint?
The judge or the Magistrate can order many different measures under this law in order to ensure your protection and well-being. This includes protection orders (ordering the offender to stop violence), residence orders, monetary relief, custody orders and compensation orders.
After this lecture, there was a discussion with students.
