The School is very good at Can’t fault it at all Children’s afterschool clubs and also thinking of how the parents feel All aspects Making learning fun for the children, also great after school clubs Getting the children involved and understanding some children are academic learners and some practical. Excellent school and supportive staff. My son is very happy here. Approachable and friendly and a good learning environment What they offer children and parents. The detail to everything. The support they give and how quick they are to respond to any concerns for parent and child. Fantastic school! Communication Extra-curricular clubs, breakfast club and encouraging reading and maths Connecting through Marvellous Me, having a good interaction, and knowing what your child gets up to throughout the day Developing reading habits Meeting all of my daughter's needs and giving her the help where she needs it within certain aspects of her learning Everything Getting the best of each child. Also giving parents dates and times for events early. It's a massive help especially for working parents like ourselves. Thank you Attention to the child and classes at school. After school activities and pre-school facilities. Good communication regards parents through MARVELOUS ME. Discipline. Providing lots of opportunities for the children such as the after-school clubs. They don’t ask for any funds towards trips/clubs (which I would be happy to pay for) this helps disadvantaged families feel included My child enjoys breakfast club and activities that the school offers. The teachers are quick to resolve any concerns put forward to them. Involving parents Allowing children the opportunity to be involved in clubs outside of school hours. After school free clubs excellent giving every child a chance to try different activities to find a hobby that hasn't cost a fortune to try out e.g. gymnastics Putting the children first and valuing their opinion. Keeping me updated Looking out for my child Communication All good Maintaining the students’ knowledge Teaching my child in academic studies. I have noticed a behavioural shift in my child and we are trying to rectify this at present. I don't know if it is an influence from his friends’ behaviour or his age, but it is being dealt with. Keeping me informed of how my child is doing and I really feel the teaching is brilliant. He is developing both academically and socially at the school. The school is good in supporting the children where and when needed After school and before school help such as youth club and parent clubs. Some of the teachers and TA are fantastic. Supporting families and pupils Maintaining a high standard. Everyone especially in the nursery are so helpful and it’s a pleasure to have them caring for my child. I couldn't wish for a better group of people. Thank you xx

Communication, love tapestry as my child came from a nursery with a similar system and like that this carried on. Knowing what she is learning each week helps me support her learning further at home. Everything! From keeping me informed to helping my child flourish, we really are over the moon with our son's experience at The Rydal Academy. Not doing school discos All the clubs offered to children. Tailoring care to individual children. Ensuring children and parents are happy and comfortable Sorting bulling out Everything Dealing with issues both at home and at school I've had so much support in the past 3 years My boys just started here last week and I instantly loved the school when we walked round it. One of my sons is autistic and the only problem they have had is his eating at dinner and they called me to discuss this with me also they keep me updated on my boys’ progress at school I am very happy my kids got accepted to go here. Before and after school club is amazing, this should be adopted in every primary school. We have moved from down south and were paying £700-£900 in child care fees each month so this is a massive saving to us My kids have only been at this school for a couple weeks, but I have seen a big difference in both their spellings and reading and they go to school happy and no bother. In their old school they used to cry not to go or for me to leave them so happy with how they’re coming along No worries and no problems so far well done Good after school clubs and teachers are really nice My son is in IMPS and he is coming on great. Any concerns I have I go to his teacher or one of the staff who are great. My son has a medical condition and they are fantastic on ringing me if they have anything they not sure about. We have always been impressed with every aspect of The Rydal Academy I am overall very happy with the school. My daughter loves to learn and is very much encouraged at school and home. I have just been appointed a parent governor and look forward to learning more about the school and policies. My son has come on loads in the last year and can’t fault the staff. Extremely pleased with my son's progress this year. I will continue to recommend the school to others. Brilliant support from teachers at all times. Pastoral care is fantastic. Children make fantastic progress and are happy The staff are very helpful and caring when it comes to the children Fab school keep up the good work Excellent free breakfast club and after school clubs. I don’t know any other school that does this and it really helps working parents. Great teachers

To make the school better we could Nothing I can think of The school is fine as it is Be mindful of single working parents not always able to do the specified reading time of 2 children every night - Our aim is to make life as simple as we can for all parents. We understand that sometimes both the children and parents have long days and therefore we look to support this with our wraparound offer. We do encourage children to read every day for a least 20 minutes as research proves this has a significant impact on learning. But they can do this at the Reading time clubs we run in school every night or through using the Reading Eggs / Reading Eggspress app. This can hopefully free you up for the fun things at home! We have also refined our homework policy this year so we only encourage children to read every day and learn weekly spellings. Anything else like learning grid tasks, Mathletics, Reading Eggs, activity boxes are enrichment which the children will be rewarded for in school but are optional. More communication with parents about child’s progress/more frequent parent teacher 1-1 – Time is limited for the staff, and we want as much of it as possible to go into preparing learning experiences for your children. We have dropped our Summer term Parent Pupil Consultations as they were not well attended due to being so close to end of year reports being released. In between Parent Pupil Consultations we are happy to discuss your child’s progress, just leave a message at the office and the class teacher will organise an appointment, phone call or email exchange. My children love the school and I’ve always been happy so nothing to improve. More opportunities to directly discus with teachers concerns raised. I don't feel I have this clear opportunity right now and I feel messages don't get passed along – Please either speak to the class teacher at the end of the day during handover time or leave a message at the office and the class teacher will organise an appointment, phone call or email exchange. Encourage students in social activities and arranging more external visits. – A major focus of our 50 clubs per week as well as Breakfast Club and Youth Club time is to develop social skills in a more relaxed environment, as well as our curricular focus through the Social Development curriculum. Pupils currently experience 32 school trips and 19 visitors in school between Nursery to Year 6, all funded by the school – although we would love to do more time and finances do not allow. Needs to be more books available on accelerated reading age appropriate. - This is currently our largest curriculum spend every year. We have spent over £3,000 every year for the last 6 years and we intend to continue doing so. Reading Eggspress will now allow the children access to a wide range of books over the internet and watch this space for more news on how to access Accelerated Readers electronically. Also, please make sure all books are returned to school. My daughter is happy so we all wants better and better More info to parents so we can help our children learn at home for example if teach my daughter how to do a sum she tells me I am doing it wrong we don't do it like that. - We will share more information through Facebook. Please contact class teachers and they can talk you through any approaches we use. Communicate better with parents. NOT exclude children with special needs from youth club and after school clubs - The huge volume of extra-curricular clubs we offer is a privilege, not an entitlement. We will review each child’s behaviour and energy levels and put in place support or offer an alternative, within reason, where we can. Have better communication. Especially when receptionist doesn’t even pass messages on.... several times this has happened. There is very little communication with class teachers, no feedback is given on my child. - We usually get excellent feedback about our Receptionists so if this has been the case I apologise. Class teachers are happy to make appointments (beyond the termly Parent Pupil Consultations or Annual reports) and are available at the end of each day on the doors. If you are not picking pupils up at the end of the school day, please ring in or email the school. I literally have NO idea if my child is doing well or not. I also don't feel there is much support for me as a parent child who does not want to attend school and who’s behaviour is challenging and not much support for our child either. - We pride ourselves on the volume of support we offer both children and families. From academic support, personal development sessions, attendance support, training and support groups for parents. If you want to know how your child is doing in school please make an appointment or arrange to speak to the class teacher, if you would like some ideas to support your child with their behaviour (at home or in school) please speak to Mrs Galey or Mrs Alexander.

Introduce a holiday club, for school holidays for working parents, if so at an affordable cost – We can do this at a cost, if there is enough interest. We are also always exploring other options to extend or enhance our and let wraparound offer. Make representation to the local authority about cleaning up the main area around the school. There is a lot of domestic rubbish blowing around and quite a lot of dog dirt on the pavements. – I totally agree. We contact the Borough Council more than weekly. I suggest parents do the same. The more voices the more chance we have of getting something done. I would also implore residents to do the same. Discuss any concerns or issues privately rather than approaching parents on the school playground and sharing concerns publicly! – This will be relayed to staff, and they usually try to do so. We have more success with some parents than others when trying to contact by phone and a direct approach can be the only remaining option. I will make sure staff invite you inside is information need to be exchanged directly. Wider range on the school dinners for fussy eaters. – We currently have 5 options of main meals a day. If children are struggling with their meals, we can also offer an individual menu. I will discuss this with the new Catering Manager when they take up post. Letting the children drink plenty of water during day – Children have access to water bottles and water fountains all day long. I would like to have more information about my child’s progress and achievements more regularly. More parents 1-1 with teacher – Let the teacher know and they will book you in. My only criticism is parents meeting could be a little more informative. Some teachers I feel rush you through and nothing but figures and not very personal to your child and because it’s that rushed don’t feel as though you can ask much about your child’s progress. - Please book another meeting and the teacher can answer any questions you may have. It is a shame there is no holiday club as we would happily pay for this service. – We can do this at a cost, if there is enough interest. We appreciate staff are busy and are not there to police the outside area but the gates to the school on drop off and collection time is incredibly congested with parents/carers smoking which is not pleasant to have to walk any child through. Would it be possible to have signs put up to reiterate that smoking is not permitted immediately outside the school gates? Text messages have been sent from the school to advise not to smoke in the school grounds, but it should extend to the entrance gates also. – I totally agree. Unfortunately, our jurisdiction ends at the gate. That is why we continually appeal to parents to move a little further away out of courtesy and to respect the children’s health. Some local authorities are currently exploring the impact of no-smoking zones around schools. Not Darlington just yet though. Communication home needs to be far better and there should be clearer opportunities to speak with teachers when necessary. I don't feel if I have an issue I can raise it with teacher directly unless I pick up at normal home time which isn't possible when he has clubs and mornings only TA’s – Please leave a message at the School Office and the class teacher will contact you. Are there less gravy or sauce options at lunch? My child likes his food plain and despite many protests to keep it gravy free it's served up with it so he doesn't eat as much as he could. – I will pass this on to the new Catering Manager. Better interaction and peer support – I’m not sure if this is for children or parents. Please get in contact so I can discuss further. Not a vast amount of positive or negative individual feedback sent for my child. Marvellous me seems to be used as a class updates system. – We analyse use each term and the main focus should be to celebrate children’s’ achievements. I will discuss with the teaching team. Homework needs to be based on what they have learned that week not what they are learning that term I ask my daughter to choose a homework but some she wants to do she doesn't fully understand cause she hasn't touched that subject yet within the curriculum and as I am not a teacher I find it hard to help her in her maths I am unsure of methods used to work our answers to be able to help her. – Our homework is simply to read every night (20 minutes is ideal) and to learn weekly spellings. The extension grids are optional, so the children can do some extra pre-learning or post-learning if they choose. Let them have a go at Mathletics for maths at home, either set tasks from the teacher or free games – it all helps. The only thing I ever have an issue with is my son never bringing out gloves, coats, shoes sometimes. Last year he lost a school jumper and shorts when I enquired nobody ever got back to me. Not sure how you can rectify this maybe it's my son more than others. But everything else is fantastic. – If clothes have a name in them we can get them back to you more often than not. Leave a message and a description at the office for Mrs Carr. If it does not have a name, we

Page 6: Annual questionnaire analysis 2019 - Swift Academies · 2019-07-11 · Annual questionnaire analysis 2019 Parent Questionnaire Received 136 questionnaires from 387 families 35% return

collect lost property at the end of each half term and then usually let you know when and where you can come and look through for any missing items. We can also do some work with the children on individual responsibility and personal organisation if you think it is an issue let Mrs Galey know. The school is good at letting parents know about their progress, the only criticism I can give them is I was called in for a meeting regarding my child’s behaviour since this meeting in Sept 2018 I have received no feedback either good or bad apart from when I asked at an open evening last week – Please book an appointment with the class teacher or Mrs Galey. We are exploring using an app similar to Marvellous Me which will share positive behaviour points and negative behaviour points, but it is not as child friendly and as much fun as Marvellous Me so we will talk to the children and continue to review. Do not agree with giving my child homework over the holidays especially the Christmas holidays I prefer my child to have fun during the holidays and concentrate on school during term time if he focuses on school too much he is going to not want to do anything school wise. – That is fine. We do not set any. If they can continue to read every day that is the best thing we can suggest as is makes a huge difference to academic progress. Other than that, there are lots of options for things the children can do should they want to do so. I feel his reading books have not been challenging him at all. It's only been recently that he's gone to a higher level however, the books are still far too easy for him. I have raised this concern and he's still not moving up. He's been on 1.5 4x and has had 100% on his test however, he hasn't moved up. This is my only concern, everything else at this school is brilliant, the staff are fantastic with my son and really care about the children. Thank you to all of you! – Please talk to the class teacher and they will investigate the Accelerated Reader level. It sounds like they should be moving up if they have had 4 x 100% but there could be a reason why they have not. Homework this year compared to year 4 hasn’t had any clear guidelines. I’m being told it’s classed as additional work and not necessary?? – Please refer to the policy on the school website, or the responses I have given above. If any further clarification is needed as the class teacher or Miss Unsworth. One of the steps to the youth club area door is loose, please get this fixed. - Thank you, this has been addressed. Only thing I would like to ask is why doesn't my child get any homework. – Reading every night please and spellings every week. These are the things that research has found have the greatest impact on a Primary age child’s learning. There are also lots of options if you want to do more at home. I think communication needs to improve and I would like to see my son get more homework rather than just a reading book once or twice a week. I would like to see something like maths problems and spelling also etc. – Spellings should be coming home weekly and a reading book daily. Our expectation is 20 minutes reading every night, this makes such a huge difference. More homework is shown by research to make no difference at this age. If you want to do more, please use Mathletics or ask the teacher as we have a variety of workbooks we can provide if children or parents want to do more practice at home. Maybe not harass parents who owe money. – We have a variety of approaches to recoup monies owed to the school and do all we can before sending debts on to the Finance team or a Debt Collection Agency. We provide all services apart from school meals (if not entitled to free school meals) and extra nursery sessions for free. At the end of the day this is the children’s money and should be available to be spent on them in school to support their education. We will be professional, courteous and considerate always, but we will also pursue all debts until they are repaid. The children should not have to go short because debts have not been settled. More feedback when parent has concerns. Please contact the office and let us know what your concerns are. Children are not meeting their criteria and are below the (within) and no help is getting sorted to help the children to meet targets – All pupils across the school receive support through a variety of mediums from teaching in the classroom to intervention and access to specialist support. If you are concerned with your child’s progress, please discuss with the class teacher or if your child has a Special Educational Need please discuss with Miss Truby (SENCO). We analyse and discuss every single child in the school termly and take action where is needed so if you have a concern please allow us to explore it with you.

We are very good at/proud of

that trips are free for all people and i like the teachers because they push us to be our best and train us for life. I'm proud of being the first class on Mathletics, I'm proud of the trip books because them are dead funny and excited to read and also I like going on trips for free and the last thing is that I really like that Mr Ellis always pushes us to our real potential and to know what to do when we are older. I am very proud of that we always come in the world and the country and i really like about this school is that we can spend some time with our friends. My best teacher in the school is (Mr Ellis) because he helps me with my work and Mr Ellis pushes us to be very good in life. The school is good at controlling bullying, keeping the students safe, the trips are free, we enjoy being at school, the staff are good (They're funny e.g Mr Ellis!), the access to many books and being there to support people. The teachers are very nice and funny and if you have a problem teachers can solve it. I like this school because if your up set about some think at home they can solve it as well. And this is the best school ever! really like the books we are provided with. I really likesome teachers [Mr Ellis] because he is kind , friendly , cool, funny and posotive he allways pushes us to our limits on mathletics

My work and my progress. We have great lessons and having treat books. Having friends. Mr Ellis is a FABULOUS teacher.(: The thing that I like about the school is that the teachers are funny and kind to you and they keep you safe. I like how we have treat books in our classroom because we can challenge our selves on higher levels and we can get new vocabulary from them. I like Mr Ellis as my teacher because he pushes us so we can have a better education and pushes us to read more and do mathletics more at home and school. I'm very proud of wearing The Rydal Academy logo on my jumper .I am glad I have Mr Ellis as my teacher because he pushes me and he is very funny , he helps us if we have a problem and he will solve it instantly. I think teachers are funny because they all have a laugh with students and, in my opinion, it makes my day. my favourite things about my school is the staff because they all get along and they believe so much in the children they teach. Mr Ellis is my favourite teacher because he pushes his students so much to become the best they could be and he is a brilliant teacher and Mr Ellis loves to make his students feel proud. He has helped me so much and he always believes in me. This is the best school EVER!! I am proud of my teachers because they get on with each other and they are funny to me like Mr Ellis, Mrs Wells and Mrs Mawson. I like it when Mr Ellis pushes all of my pupils to read more and practise my spellings too I think it will make more progress when I go to secondary. I am proud when there is something happeneing at home they will help you.

I'm proud of my school on Mathletics coming top and the teachers are good and the sports tournaments and the teachers are the best (Mr Ellis) ;). The teachers are funny and I like we get free trips. I adore the treat books same with French. I really like the staff as they push us to our high standard [ teaching us at our year group level]. I also like Mathletics and AR level books as they show us were we are working at! We all are now better than the previous year group.

I like being top on Mathletics. The teachers get on well so we want to be friends. MR Ellis pushes us to learn and be are best. I am better since year 5. I think in school our learning progress improves really quick and the treat book idea is also good because it encourages people to read more. Mathletics also pushes us and prepares us for maths in later life. My favourite lesson is maths so keep up the good work, TRA. I like how the school trips are free. I think our school makes quick progress to learning. Its good how we get treat books if we get 100 on a quiz and raffle tickets. Mr Ellis pushed us to read every night and that has improved my reading a lot. I like the teachers when they help the students and I also like it when we get free trips and have some fun. Sometimes like this school is the BEST school ever! I also love Mr Ellis and Mr Armitage I think they are very supportive!

I think the trips are good and I also like the teachers because they push us. I have got better since year five and the school is the best school ever

To make this school better we could better laptops because they always die, and I have to plug them in. – We are looking in to getting more and have put PC’s back in to some classrooms. more pegs because my coat is on the floor. – We are looking at another way of doing this. Until then please help by putting coats on pegs instead of the floor. put more activities on in youth club because i sit and wait a lot – This will change before the summer. We could make the school better by when it's Lunch time you can sit with your friends because it would be more fun, maybe more quiet and also have bigger pegs in the cloakroom so your coat won't fall down and get dirty. That's it the rest of the stuff is very good. – I will talk to Mrs Galey about lunch. We could sit with our friends at lunchtime because it will be quiet in the dinner hall. We could have more laptops because it will take less time to make more progress. The cloakroom needs to be tired because people are just stepping on coats and the coats get ruined. – I will talk to Mrs Galey, we are looking at the cloakrooms. Instead of pegs, I think the school should add cabinets as there is coats everywhere, at lunch, children should be able to sit where they want (sat next to friends, bad behaviour might stop since if they're sat next to a friend they wont be sat next to someone they hate and they will just talk to their friends) and maybe we could have a bigger football pitch as it is quite small (Y6,Y5 & Y4 playground). If the school can't afford cabinets, maybe everyone should have a reserved peg and there should be cloakroom monitors. There should also be a laptop trolley that stays outside for the whole year group as it takes up the whole ICT lesson to go to other classrooms and disturb them while they are learning and maybe we could get an option if we want to sit on the playground for lunch. – We will ask the teachers to set up cloakroom monitors if they have not already. The football pitch leave space for others. We are looking at more laptops for the classroom. I will talk to Mrs Galey about lunch. i want this school to have chairs for the hall and i want to sit next to friends and sit were ever you want. – Chairs take to long to set out for assembly. i want to have a big class because it is so small. – Sorry, the building is only as big as it is. i want more equipment because it is boring at brake. – What type of equipment and where? At lunch we could sit next to our friends because when people argue at lunch it is probably because we are not sat with our friends. Then we could just talk to our friends. Miss Edgerley she is very nice so is Mrs Alexander. – I will talk to Mrs Galey about lunch. At lunch we could sit next to our friends. Have a bigger class. Have a break as soon as we finish our lunch. The staff at youth club can be changed because they always move me and my sister when we are supposed to be having contact on Friday. – I will talk to Mrs Galey about lunch and Mrs Thurland about Fridays. If you want a bigger class tell everyone about how great our school is an hopefully they will come and join us. We could be able to sit with our friends at lunch because it might be quieter in the dinner hall and we could be able to talk with our friends. To make the school better we could also have more pegs in the year 5 and 6 cloakroom because people's coats get stood on and ruined. – I will talk to Mrs Galey, we are looking at the cloakrooms. We could have one school fair and a school disco on a weekend every month. Also I would like a supervisor in the cloakroom because by home time your coats have been stood on when the other year groups have been in .However to solve this only let around ten people in the cloakroom at a time. – We are looking at the cloakrooms, we will consider your idea. We can’t have discos because we have Youth Club until 6pm. School fairs take a lot of organising and cost a lot of money, so we only have two a year, but we hope you enjoy them. in lunch, we could choose who we sit with because there will be less well-behaved students, less arguments and less noise. – I will talk to Mrs Galey. more pegs and bigger pegs because my coat always get ruined. – We are looking at the cloakrooms. more laptops that don't break because i will spend ten minutes trying to log onto a computer e.g.: get disconnected easily. – We are looking in to getting more and have put PC’s back in to some classrooms. all problems aside I love this school and I have progressed so much. To make the school better we can tidy the cloak room more often. In youth club I think they should be less shouting. Instead of that, I think that this school is the best school I've been too. – We are looking at the cloakrooms. You will start to notice changes in Youth Club.

Page 16: Annual questionnaire analysis 2019 - Swift Academies · 2019-07-11 · Annual questionnaire analysis 2019 Parent Questionnaire Received 136 questionnaires from 387 families 35% return

Let us sit next to our friends at dinner time and the cloak room needs to be cleaned and maybe be a bit bigger. I don't like how youth club and dinner ladies shouting at us. More equipment for break and a bigger P.E. cubed. – I will talk to Mrs Galey, we are looking at the cloakrooms. You will start to notice changes in Youth Club. Have lockers since we always have coats trampled on or bags thrown of our pegs or we could have pegs that are for one pupil. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. I would like to sit where ever I want at lunch time because everybody wants to sit next to their friends. – I will talk to Mrs Galey I would like a laptop trolley for each year groups. – We are looking in to getting more and have put PC’s back in to some classrooms. have a better clock room because my coat gets wreaked and need more pegs. I think we need a better water fountain because no water hardly comes out. I would like to sit with my friends. – I will talk to Mrs Galey, we are looking at the cloakrooms. I will talk to teachers about your water bottles. At lunch let us sit next our friends instead of making us sit in other seats. In the cloakroom we should have the pegs more extended from each other so people dont get confused with other coats. Also, we should have a bigger P.E changing room so we lose clothes and so we have more space. – I will talk to Mrs Galey, we are looking at the cloakrooms. Unfortunately, we do not have any extra space for changing rooms. At dinner time the dinner nannies should let us sit next to our friends. I think we should have a bigger cloakroom. I don't like how some of the teachers in youth club shout at us for no reason. We could have a bigger P.E. room to get changed. – I will talk to Mrs Galey, we are looking at the cloakrooms. Unfortunately, we do not have any extra space for changing rooms. You will start to notice changes in Youth Club. I think this school could make the cloakrooms much bigger and try and make the yr5 and 6s separate on the pegs. I don't like the way the teachers sometimes didn't blame things on other children like me and tend to believe other children because I don't think some teachers believe me but I actually rarely get actions. Sometimes I don't really like youth club sometimes they provide food for other children. I understand they've paid but some children might be hungry at youth club. – We might be able to make the Y5/6 cloak room a little bigger. We try to have food in Youth Club when something is left over from lunch. Otherwise bring a snack if you can. I think we should have bigger pegs because when people hang their coats up they just fall of them and I also think we should have better laptops because they always brake and die when we are on them. I also think youth club should put more activities on so people are not board .and I also think we should sit with our friends at lunchtime so there isn't that much noise, so people don't have headaches. – We are looking in to getting more and have put PC’s back in to some classrooms. I will talk to Mrs Galey, we are looking at the cloakrooms. You will start to notice changes in Youth Club. we should expand the cloakroom and in the dinner hall i think we should sit were we want and with our friends - I will talk to Mrs Galey, we are looking at the cloakrooms. have a bigger cloakroom because my coat always gets trampled on and ripped and at lunch we could sit with our friend but if we are silly we sit next to someone else. we could have class room jobs, so we can help the teacher and class cleaner clean the classes also at youth club we could have I pads so we could watch what we want instead of mickey mouse. - I will talk to Mrs Galey, we are looking at the cloakrooms. I will ask the teachers to think about monitor jobs. Ipads we can explore but I am worried everyone would want one and we wouldn’t have enough. This school could improve by at dinner time we could sit next to our friends and we can have longer P.E session. - I will talk to Mrs Galey about lunchtimes, Unfortunately, we do not have enough time to make PE longer, but you can do sport every night at extra-curricular clubs.

have lockers so our stuff doesn't get stolen, dirty, lost and hidden. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot.

We could have lockers so then our coats won’t get stamped on and they won’t get lost. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. Have a P.E session together so all the year five classes. – I will talk to your teachers about doing this where they can (Cross country, athletics, sports day practice)

put lookers in our school because lots of things get stolen or dirty. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot.

Page 17: Annual questionnaire analysis 2019 - Swift Academies · 2019-07-11 · Annual questionnaire analysis 2019 Parent Questionnaire Received 136 questionnaires from 387 families 35% return

Learn more languages like: sign language for deaf people and Spanish. – Great idea, I will talk to Miss Jones and Miss Unsworth. Have lockers so that the cloak room isn't a mess. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. Add a basketball group. In the year 5/6 playground add equipment to play with. – We can look at this, but don’t you want something different to the MUGA? we could have lockers and work as a team sometimes we can have password for our lockers however we can have more INTRESTING books and three playtime we can be happy at this school and no arguments. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. We keep buying new books, let your class councillors know what you would like to read.

To put lockers in the cloakroom because the cloakroom is very messy – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot.

In cloakrooms we could have our own lockers, so no one stand on our coats or bags. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. Add lockers for our belongings so, they don't get trampled on, stolen or lost – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. longer break/lunches – Unfortunately, the day is just not long enough to get everything done. sign language classes – Great idea, I will talk to Miss Unsworth, maybe in class or even an extra-curricular club. football/gymnastics classes – These are in PE and we have extra-curricular clubs.

we could get some lockers and more lunch halls – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. I would love a new hall, but we would need about £750,000 you could put lockers in the school, so we don't lose anything, and you could let us bring stationary and let us where any clothes we want. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. Stationary would just get lost. We are probably due a uniform review, I will start talking to parents.

have lockers and tell everyone to share at school instead of not sharing at break and bullying – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. add a bouncy castle and have a swimming pool. – We could get a bouncy castle. No money or space for a swimming pool. and have lockers and new computers and have longer breaks and longer lunch and probably have more toys and have longer P.E. and have a bigger hall and more comfortable chairs and have a bigger playground and have year 7 and have more swimming lessons and have more school trips and have new books and have no dressing code -wear any type of clothing. - I think I have covered most of your ideas apart from Y7. I love the idea that you would want to stay for KS3.

youth club and breakfast club staff and longer breaks. - You will notice changes in Youth Club and Breakfast Club. We have no time for longer breaks.

get locker and 3 play times – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. Unfortunately, the day is just not long enough to get everything done.

Add lockers instead of trays – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. Use lockers with passwords so people can't steal our property and have more staff trained for pastoral / emotional teachers so there is more opportunity to see them throughout the day. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. Mrs Galey and I will review the pastoral support at the end of the year. It could be more staff or cohort TA’s becoming more expert. Please can we improve by putting lockers in the cloak room and cabinets instead of our trays and cupboards so we can put all our books and stuff in it so it saves us time of getting out of our seats? Thank you if you do this change – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. We could make the school better by doing more projects and have lockers. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. I will ask the teachers to review using projects.

we could make it better if we could put lockers and bring our stationary. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. Stationary would just get lost Have lockers to keep our coats, bag (school bags) safe. Also have the equipment back and to keep our books in good condition. – We would like lockers, but they cost a lot. Equipment should be on the yard. We need you to look after the books, thank you to the children at Youth Club who help with this every night.

have more toys at playtime. – What do you want and where?

more toys in the playground. – What do you want and where? have 30 more minutes to discuss what we did that day. – What a fantastic idea! A review session. This could work well with Peer mentoring. I will discuss with your teachers.
