The Principal’s Report
Cathedral College Wangaratta, one of 14 schools of the Anglican Schools Commission Inc., is
a co-educational day school with approximately 1020 students from Prep to Year 12. The School
continues to grow to be a modern well-appointed campus with excellent purpose-built facilities.
We are proud of our Anglican ethos and our whole school approach. Our staff seek to prepare
all of our students for a meaningful and rewarding role in the community through the pursuit of
personal excellence and the provision of a full and broad education, based on strong
academic and Christian principles. We enable our students to discover their passion and
direction in life and make a positive contribution in the world. This in turn reflects our commitment
to a holistic education. We offer a rich, real world learning environment which provides
opportunities for students to aim for a wide range of post-school destinations including tertiary
institutions, apprenticeships and the workforce.
2019 saw some significant changes for the college. The new VCE and Resource Centre was
officially opened and our senior students and staff are enjoying the modern and well-appointed
amenities that this building provides. In July, Mr Nick Jones was appointment as the new school
principal. Mr Jones looks forward to building on the strong foundations that have been laid by
Adrian Mr Farrer and the school executive.
